Position Description:

KPA’s/Novara's Marketing Communications team needs a hands-on Content Marketing Manager to serve as our content production engine and quality leader. This role balances hands-on content creation with content quality oversight, operations, and cross-functional coordination.
You'll produce high-quality written content yourself while also serving as the content quality gatekeeper—reviewing all marketing content for brand consistency, providing editorial guidance to team members, and orchestrating content workflows across Demand Generation, Product Marketing, and the Marketing Communications teams. You'll ensure consistent brand voice and messaging across all marketing channels, whether content is created by you, team members, freelancers, or produced with the support of content tools.

Primary Objectives:

  • Increase content production that support Sales, Demand Generation Marketing, and Product Marketing with high-quality, persuasive content across multiple channels and formats
  • Establish and maintain content quality standards across all marketing content (own-produced and team-generated)
  • Improve conversion rates by 20-35% through strategic messaging and compelling copy
  • Enable consistent thought leadership and content production
  • Build scalable content workflows that maintain brand excellence while increasing velocity

Responsibilities:

  • Marketing Assets & Collateral Development: Create comprehensive marketing materials including eBooks, scripts, blog posts, case studies and success stories, checklists, guides, brochures, and data sheets that support the buyer's journey across all funnel stages. Create content that addresses industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices while driving traffic, engagement, and conversion rates. Develop comprehensive guides and educational content that showcase expertise and build trust with target audiences.
  • Content Strategy: Manage editorial calendar and content production workflows to ensure timely delivery of marketing assets across campaigns and initiatives. Build scalable content processes and workflows to support increased production demands. Work across team functions of Demand Generation, Product Marketing, Digital Marketing, collaborating on content needs, editorial planning, and campaign messaging alignment.
  • Content Quality: Serve as primary content reviewer for all Marketing Communications content—whether created by team members, freelancers, or other contributors. Review content for brand voice consistency, messaging accuracy, grammar, and strategic alignment to maintain content quality standards and brand voice guidelines across formats and channels.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 6-8 years of B2B content marketing, copywriting, or editorial experience with demonstrated progression to content leadership
  • Proven track record producing high-volume, high-quality marketing assets and thought leadership content
  • Experience reviewing, editing, and improving others' content—editorial judgment and coaching ability
  • Experience managing editorial calendars, content workflows, and quality standards
  • Portfolio demonstrating strategic thinking, strong writing across channels, and editorial refinement skills
  • Proficiency with content development, productivity and reporting tools and experience in  WordPress, Salesforce, Marketo, JasperAI, ClickUp, Adobe InDesign, and more.

Success Criteria:

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and content judgment across long-form and short-form content
  • Editorial leadership: Ability to review diverse content types, provide constructive feedback, and maintain quality standards
  • Deep understanding of B2B buyer psychology and pain-point-driven messaging
  • Strong interviewing skills for customer stories and SME collaboration
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling copy
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work effectively across multiple stakeholders with competing priorities and maintain productive relationships
  • Project management skills to juggle multiple deadlines, reviews, and content streams
  • Data-informed decision making: use analytics to optimize content performance
  • Content operations mindset: Can build scalable processes, workflows, and documentation for high-volume production
  • Proficiency with content creation tools and technologies to enhance efficiency

Compensation:

  • Annual Base Salary Range of 85k-105k
  • Annual Bonus Opportunity of 10%

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
