POSITION SUMMARY

We're looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Licensing Operations Manager to join our team. In this role, you'll play a critical part in the footage licensing process, working with a variety of digital assets, content suppliers and platforms to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
As a key member of an Enterprise AI company, we encourage you to actively seek out opportunities to integrate AI into your daily tasks. You'll be expected to identify the utility of AI engines for both small and large-scale projects, managing their full application lifecycle from an initial cost analysis to their active display on our Digital Media Hub. You will be responsible for understanding how different AI models can be leveraged to improve efficiency, enhance content, and create new opportunities for our clients.

‎

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Content and Platform Management: Manage our Digital Media Hub, including content ingestion and publication, user and U/I management, and file delivery for licensing projects.

  • Improve process and engagement: Identify areas to engage the broader Licensing Team through consistent site analytics, training, feature rollouts and feedback sessions exploring potential cost-saving initiatives.

  • Content Expertise: Provide expertise in collegiate and professional sports, premium news and stock footage to support the Licensing Account Managers and Sales efforts. You will be required to support revenue-generating projects by completing specific research within our supplier archives.

  • Issue Resolution: Acknowledge and resolve content ingestion and delivery issues by coordinating with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.

  • Workflow Optimization: Identify and implement process efficiencies to improve our licensing workflows.

Year 1: Support and Platform Immersion

Your first year will focus on immersing yourself in our operations and platforms. You will be expected to:

  • Become an expert on the Digital Media Hub, mastering its front-end and back-end functions to provide seamless support.

  • Drive the ongoing improvement of our documentation by taking ownership of its auditing, maintenance, and organization.

  • Understand licensing supplier workflows and proactively connect with points of contact to nurture relationships and acquire additional content from existing suppliers.

  • Serve as a key voice for our users: identifying their pain points and collaborating with the product team to prioritize features that directly address their needs.

‎

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

To succeed in this role, you should have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience working at a technology company and be knowledgeable in the following platforms:

  • Enterprise Platforms: Salesforce, Slack, Google Suite, Aspera on Cloud, Jira, Confluence

  • Veritone Platforms: AiWare, Core, Commerce, Digital Media Hub (DMH)

Your contributions will be key in increasing revenue opportunities and ensuring our clients have a seamless experience. You will support our Account Managers, Customer Success Managers, ProServ, and Sales teams by providing accurate and up-to-date information on our licensing suppliers.

DISCLOSURE

Our company provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
