About the role

As the Content Evaluation Associate, you will analyze individual titles, source materials, and content trends—including genre, studio, and talent performance—to help identify and maximize high-potential projects. By providing detailed recommendations to Content leadership, you'll help shape co-productions and optimize content success. Working with the Tokyo office and anime Producers, you'll use your understanding of anime fandom to ensure projects resonate with audiences and perform effectively in the market.

Success Measures:

  • 60 days: Complete training on content research process and be able to research and analyze content independently
  • 90 days: Use Airtable for content planning and status updates
  • 120 days: Begin creating presentations for team members explaining the strategic value of upcoming content
  • 6 months: Accomplish all primary responsibilities for the role
You will:
  • Research new potential content and analyze project title performance - Identify high‑potential titles and evaluate past performance to inform data‑driven recommendations, ensuring that content strategy aligns with audience interests and market opportunities.

  • Create compelling presentations for current and upcoming content for team members - Develop clear, engaging materials that help teams understand the value and positioning of upcoming content, enabling better alignment, buy‑in, and strategic planning.

  • Present seasonal content slates to managers across various departments - Share curated overviews of critical upcoming titles to help marketing, product, and operations teams prepare campaigns, allocate resources, and maximize impact at launch.

  • Conduct trend research in content production and performance - Monitor evolving industry trends, audience behaviors, and competitor strategies to identify new opportunities, refine content selection, and stay ahead of market shifts.

  • Coordinate with other departments on partner expectations and content requirements - Facilitate clear communication around deliverables and creative needs, ensuring cross‑functional teams are aligned to deliver cohesive, high‑quality projects.

  • Manage Airtable and other data tools to organize content pipelines and internal workflows Maintain accurate, accessible data to streamline planning, improve visibility of upcoming titles, and support efficient decision‑making across teams.

In the role of Content Evaluation Associate, you will report to the Director of Content Evaluation and Planning. We are considering applicants for the Dallas office.


About You

We get excited about candidates, like you, because...

  • You have 2+ years of anime or manga industry experience
  • You have a knowledge of historical and current anime trends over the last 10 to 20 years
  • You can identify trends, patterns, and insights from data utilizing Excel and software such as Mixpanel, Tableau, and Preset to inform decision-making
  • You have experience with Airtable and other database software
  • You are an effective communicator and can successfully present data and findings to leadership and other partners
