The Content Designer will drive content strategy and UX writing for Dropbox, collaborating with various teams to enhance user experiences and meet business goals.
Role Description
We’re looking for an experienced content designer to shape and elevate our core product—the foundations of Dropbox. You’ll craft content strategy and UX writing for features that help millions of people do their best work every day.
In this role, you’ll lead content design for high-impact initiatives like onboarding, feature adoption, and quality improvements. You’ll collaborate closely with product designers, PMs, engineers, and researchers to ensure that content drives business goals, meets user needs, and reflects our high standards. You’ll also develop and maintain consistent language across our web, mobile, and desktop platforms, making Dropbox feel seamless and easy to use.
Responsibilities- Own the content strategy and UX writing across core Dropbox features
- Deliver high-quality UX writing for menus, onboarding, settings, and core user flows
- Translate complex concepts into friendly, easy-to-understand experiences
- Align your work to business goals, user needs, and our style guides
- Create, maintain, and socialize content guidelines
- Craft content informed by user feedback, metrics, technical constraints, localization, and accessibility standards
- Partner closely with product designers, engineers, product managers, researchers, and other stakeholders
- Prioritize across a broad range of needs to focus on the highest impact projects
- Contribute to workshops and critiques to push your craft and elevate the quality of our work
- Collaborate with product marketers and other partners to align messaging
- 7+ years of professional writing experience, including 5+ years focused on in-product content
- A knack for crafting end-to-end experiences and translating technical talk into people speak
- Experience following and creating writing style guidelines
- Experience writing for mobile apps and/or across platforms
- Proven ability to prioritize across multiple projects and stakeholders
- Experience partnering with designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers
- A portfolio of content design (please include this with your application)
- Experience working on productivity tools
- Passion for building team culture
- Skill in demonstrating the impact of Content Design
Compensation
Canada Pay Range
$136,000—$184,000 CAD
