We want licensed merchandise to help promote our titles and build them into franchises so they become part of the zeitgeist for long periods of time. That’s where you come in. We’re seeking someone to drive retail brand/marketing campaigns and executions for the Consumer Products team.
Responsibilities:
Partner with key retailers to develop 360, cross-category marketing campaigns in support of key titles, ranging from brand strategy to execution of all omni-channel tactics.
Work with licensees to develop retail marketing plans and integrate partners into larger retail campaign initiatives.
Expertise in the toy category with a proven track record of creating effective mid-to-lower funnel retail marketing strategies for mass accounts
Key understanding of retail account strategies and core consumer trends to provide solutions that are break-frame while being executable at retail. Having a keen understanding of grocery and F&B would be a plus.
Define the right marketing and media mix to amplify partner/retail marketing campaigns (i.e. in-store displays, e-commerce, social, etc.)
Expert on digital and social campaigns on defining effective ways to drive engagement and sales of products through custom content, influencer partnerships, SEO, display, & sponsored product campaigns
Champion our retail marketing ideas with cross-functional/global teams (Title Marketing, Merch Brand Strategy, Retail Business Development, Creative Assets & Brand Identity, Licensing, Operations), in support of broader business goals.
Be an internal and external champion of our marketing strategy and push for innovation, out-of-the box ideas, and unique campaigns.
Work internally and externally on the creation and delivery of any retail marketing assets (in-store mockups, marketing pitch ideas).
Serve as the right hand to the Sales team when selling in programs.
Ability to effectively lead meetings, think short and long-term, and manage multiple projects at once within a very fast paced environment.
Key contributor to status reports/internal trackers and retail marketing post mortems, programs and pitch decks.
Partner with MSD to develop marketing plans during off-content cycles.
Qualifications:
7+ years of marketing experience within consumer products or retail related industries
Knowledge of mass, specialty, e-comm marketing account strategies
Experience developing programs with Walmart and Target preferred
Understanding of retail environments, signage and POP displays across mass and specialty channels
Understanding of social and digital marketing
Knowledge of retail and industry trends
Entertainment experience preferred but not required
Experience with Google Suite required
Experience with Adobe Creative suite preferred
High level of organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and time-manage across multiple deadlines
Experience working with agencies is a plus.
Passion for fandom is a plus.
Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $70,000-$245,000.
