Ready to Make an EMpact?
Emergent Method’s consultants work hand-in-hand with organizations to plan for what’s next, manage complex initiatives, and bring people together around the decisions that shape the communities they serve.

We’re looking for an organized, proactive problem solver who is eager to begin a career in management consulting, excited to work on ambitious projects with well-known clients, committed to delivering transformative results, and ready to take ownership of a dynamic range of work — whether it’s keeping a complex project on track, facilitating a strategic planning retreat, building consensus among stakeholders, or developing a communication plan that moves a client’s goals forward.
The Work You Can Do:
As a consultant, you’ll work alongside experienced team members to contribute directly to projects that call for clear thinking and excellent execution across strategic planning, project management, research and data analytics, facilitation, and strategic communication.

You Work May Include:
  • Supporting client engagements related to strategic planning, research, data analytics, meeting and retreat facilitation, consensus building, and strategic communication
  • Identifying client needs, defining goals and objectives, and developing communication deliverables, plans, and campaigns that are aligned with client goals
  • Managing your pieces of a project: developing plans and timelines, tracking action items and deadlines, reporting progress on milestones, incorporating feedback, and seeing work through to delivery
  • Drafting client-facing plans, presentations, proposals, memos, and other documents with careful attention to language, formatting, and consistency
  • Learning a wide variety of subject matter related to client industries
  • Developing processes and spotting opportunities to improve an idea, solve a problem, or make a deliverable stronger
The Teammate We're Looking For:
  • Communicates clearly and pays close attention to the details
  • Thinks critically and enjoys solving problems
  • Takes initiative, owns timelines and work product, and follows through with minimal oversight
  • Has the ability to move between projects and priorities as needed without losing sight of deadlines
  • Brings a strong work ethic and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Is eager to learn new skills, adopt new methodologies, and grow professionally
  • Is willing to roll up their sleeves on any task — from developing the big picture to getting the details right
  • Wants to build trust with clients by staying client-focused and delivering above and beyond expectations
  • Is based in Louisiana's Capital and Acadiana regions; however, statewide applicants will be considered and are encouraged to apply
What You'll Bring to the Team:
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, communication studies, or a related field
  • Experience in business management, project management, the public sector, consulting, or comparable experience demonstrating the skills needed for this role
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • The ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and deliverables at once
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
