About us

Sparrow is the first high-tech, high-touch employee leave management solution. Our mission is to make it simple for companies to provide their employees with all kinds of leave (i.e. family, medical, etc.).

Currently, the leave management process is painful and inefficient for everyone. Company leaders struggle to keep up with regulations and processes that change frequently, and the employees going on leave are overwhelmed by bureaucracy at an exceptionally important juncture in their career. Sparrow transforms this ordinarily tedious, error-prone, complex to remain compliant, and time-consuming process into a 30-minute end-to-end experience saving teams time (20 - 40 hours per leave) and money (up to $30K per leave).

Sparrow is headquartered in San Francisco with remote employees across the country. Sparrow is a diverse, highly talented, and supportive team. Together, we are hardworking, collaborative, smart, and humble—after all, we’re solving real problems.

As a Consultant Relations Manager - West, you will execute Sparrow’s go-to-market strategy across our most strategic partnerships—identifying, deepening, and maintaining relationships with top brokers, consultants, and channel partners. You’ll play a critical role in expanding Sparrow’s influence across the employee benefits ecosystem by creating trusted advisors and raving fans.

This role is ideal for a relationship-driven, innovative storyteller with deep experience working with employee benefits brokers and consultants across the small, mid-market, and/or enterprise segments. You understand how to operate at both the office level (program development, enablement, GTM planning) and the individual level (trusted relationships, influence, credibility).

Reporting to the Head of Channel Sales, you’ll leverage a mix of in-house insights and external data to identify new opportunities, nurture long-term partnerships, and activate brokers and consultants—solidifying Sparrow’s position as the leading leave management solution in the market.

What you will doChannel Enablement & GTM Execution
  • Execute and operationalize partner enablement and go-to-market programs that help brokers and consultants effectively understand, evaluate, and support Sparrow’s solutions.
  • Deliver partner-facing resources, training, and sales tools in collaboration with Channel Leadership and Revenue Enablement, ensuring materials are relevant, actionable, and easy to adopt.
  • Generate pipeline for Account Executives and support in those pitches, RFPs, and finalist presentations, ultimately resulting in closed won revenue.
  • Capture and synthesize partner insights to inform product improvements, positioning, and future program enhancements.
Relationship Building & Partner Engagement
  • Build and nurture strong, trust-based relationships with brokers, consultants, and other channel partners in your core geographies to increase awareness and adoption of Sparrow’s leave management platform.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for them, managing regular touchpoints, enablement sessions, and joint planning activities.
  • Act as a Sparrow ambassador within the partner ecosystem, ensuring consistent messaging, responsiveness, and a high-quality partner experience.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
