A3 Technology, Inc. is seeking a junior level Computer Scientist to join our team in Egg Harbor Township, NJ.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide 2nd level engineering support.
- Support software development/testing/integration/troubleshooting activities for weather systems.
- Review and comment on system engineering documents, system requirement documents, software testing documents and training material.
- Attend system design reviews, technical interchange meetings, and any other meetings as requested to support program and team.
- Possess a technical understanding of systems, databases, networking, computing environments, and virtualization.
- Produce efficient or elegant code based on requirements.
- Able to support software applications in Linux environments.
- Able to provide troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining, and improving existing software.
- Able to provide end-user functionality support to the field remotely via the helpdesk.
- Full-time position with a standard flexible work schedule and occasional non-standard work hours.
- At will travel.
- Cubicle environment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Required:
- Experience with:
- JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Angular Framework
- Node.js
- UNIX/Linux Operating Systems (RHEL)
- Ability to:
- Work independently, as well as a team.
- Research and problem solve.
Preferred:
- DevSecOps practices
- Docker
- GitLab
- OpenShift
- Java Messaging Service (JMS), RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ
- Automated unit tests; e,g. Selenium

Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Math, or a Bachelor’s degree in another technical field with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science and 5 years of related work experience in a computer science or math field OR
- Master’s Degree in any field of study with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours of either undergrad or grad study in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science and 3 years related work experience in a computer science or math field.
Additionally, US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US is a must. Upon receiving a conditional offer of employment, candidates will undergo a Government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for Government clearance. Verification of past employment, education and references is also required. It is imperative that candidates be either a US citizen or a current green card holder with the last 3 consecutive years as a resident of the US.
The salary range for positions is $50,000 to $175,000. This range is provided as a general guideline and should not be interpreted as a guarantee of compensation. Actual salary offers will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the specific responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. In addition, compensation may be influenced by applicable Federal Government contract labor categories and established contract wage rates.
