Conduct KYC/KYB checks, analyze risks, monitor transactions for compliance with AML regulations, and maintain accurate documentation in a compliance role.
Nayax North America is looking for a Compliance & Risk Analyst to join our office located in Maryland. In this role, you will ensure our clients, partners, and suppliers comply with regulations designed to prevent money laundering, fraud, and other financial crimes. This position involves KYC/KYB verification, transaction monitoring, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance within a dynamic FinTech and payments environment. This is a Hybrid role based in Hunt Valley, Maryland
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
Compliance Operations
- Assist with KYC/KYB reviews for clients, partners, and suppliers.
- Support risk assessments by reviewing business information, ownership structures, and jurisdictional risks.
- Help investigate sanctions, PEP, adverse media, and other flagged alerts, escalating as needed.
- Maintain accurate, well‑organized documentation for audits and regulatory reviews.
Policy & Governance Support
- Contribute to updating and maintaining compliance policies and procedures.
- Work with internal teams to ensure onboarding and operational processes follow compliance requirements.
- Assist in monitoring regulatory changes and implementing process improvements.
Financial Crime Prevention Support
- Help monitor transactions and client activity for potential risks.
- Participate in compliance and financial crime training to deepen knowledge and improve skills.
What Makes You a Great Fit:
- 3 years in compliance, KYC, AML, risk, or related operational roles.
- Experience in FinTech, payments, or financial services is a plus but not required.
- Basic understanding of KYC/KYB, AML/CTF, and general compliance concepts.
- Strong willingness to learn, take direction, and grow into broader compliance responsibilities.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow processes accurately.
- Analytical thinking and ability to review and interpret information.
- Clear communication skills and comfort working with cross‑functional teams.
- Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications in AML or Compliance (e.g., CAMS, ICA).
- Experience working with tools such as Dow Jones, LexisNexis, or similar screening and verification platforms.
