Job Description
SailPoint is seeking a Competitive Strategy Manager to join our team.
Successful Competitive Strategy Managers are the perfect blend of GTM
strategists and hands-on operators that can flex across senior executives,
sellers, and customers. You will be responsible for SailPoint winning key
deals and act as the “source of analysis” for SailPoint’s most senior
executives.

Responsibilities

Sales Strategy and Execution

-Lead data-driven sales analysis to understand SailPoint

differentiators, trends, and how we win

-Set KPIs and execute competitive strategy, sales plays, and

strategic pursuits to achieve these goals

-Participate in customer-facing engagements and support sellers

with financial modeling or presentation materials

-Drive continuous improvement by identifying best practices and

bottlenecks to optimize our sales processes that improve our

win rates

Intelligence & Market Research

-Collect and synthesize field feedback and insights from

customers, sellers, channel, and industry analysts

-Perform thorough public research and analyses to keep a pulse

on the market

-Act as the source of analysis and provide a POV on market news

for SailPoint executives

Field Enablement

-Build highly effective field assets and constantly iterate based

on new intel and usage metrics

-Lead wide-scale internal and external enablement sessions

Cross-Functional Collaborations

-Partner with data analytics and technical sales teams to build

insights

-Scale field insights for broader consumption with revenue

enablement and product/digital marketing teams

Experience Required

-6+ years in GTM Ops, value engineering, solutions consulting,

management consulting, or competitive intelligence, ideally in high-

growth or highly technical SaaS companies

-Demonstrated ability to structure complex business problems into

specific action items and execute on them

-Ability to simplify technical concepts into consumable insights

Location

-Austin, TX preferred or remote across US / Canada

-Minimal travel will be required for conferences and team building activities

Benefits and Compensation listed vary based on the location of your employment and the nature of your employment with SailPoint.

As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the SailPoint Corporate Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission, along with potential eligibility for equity participation. SailPoint maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect SailPoint’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. We estimate the base salary, for US-based employees, will be in this range from (min-mid-max, USD):

$114,660 - $163,800 - $212,940

Base salaries for employees based in other locations are competitive for the employee’s home location.
