VSolvit is looking for a candidate to join our dynamic Business Development team as a Competitive Pricing Analyst 1 to assist with developing price and cost models for proposal submissions. A pricing analyst is responsible for analyzing competitor pricing matched with market expectations to determine the ideal target price for information technology based professional services. Works with complex data examining industry standards and pricing strategies of competitors to help the company to identify and set competitive prices. They study consumer habits to determine how much people are willing to pay for various services and look for patterns in Government customer spending. The candidate will be working in a fast-paced environment and able to adapt to changing priorities and needs supporting capture managers, proposal managers, and executives. The candidate must be highly organized, attentive to detail, comfortable supporting multiple simultaneous assignments, deliver measurable results on a daily basis, and be able to work independently in a remote work environment.

Candidates for this position must be eligible to attain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

Work with the Business Development team to do market analysis by participating in financial and cost reviews for proposal staffing models and providing guidance to the Business Development team to facilitate a better understanding of the associated financial and cost impacts.

Provide pricing support for specific proposals by performing and supporting Competitor Analysis, Indirect Rate Analysis, and Price-to-Win, as well as building and updating pricing model for proposals

Lead the creation and analysis of relevant information and develop recommendations that they present to senior management

Develop pricing for proposal submissions by working closely with capture managers, proposal managers, and executives

Maintain pricing files to include required supporting documentation

Performs cost analysis and estimates for complex proposal efforts, consistent with company policies, and RFI/RFQ/RFP/Solicitation requirements

Works as an integral part of the capture/proposal team, assisting in the development of pricing strategies, identifying risks, and interpreting solicitation requirements

Performs detailed pricing labor category pricing analysis and Salary Survey research

Maintains current knowledge of the competitive environment

Perform reviews of proposals priced by other pricing analysts for quality assurance purposes

Basic Qualifications

If applicable: If you are or have been recently employed by the U.S. government, a post-employment ethics letter will be required if employment with VSolvit is offered.

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Mathematics or English

1+ year’s experience supporting research or analysis

1+ years’ of corporate customer service and supporting project management

1+ years’ performing marketing and grant research, or web research and analysis

1+ years’ of web portal navigation, queries, interpreting qualitative and quantitative data

1+ years’ Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

1+ years’ Google Suite (slides, word, excel, and Gmail)

1+ years monitoring and interpreting industry statistics and trade literature

Preferred Qualifications

2+ years assessing the competition strength, weaknesses, pricing, their offerings, unique strengths that we need to offset

2+ years conducting competitive analysis, gathering competitive intelligence

1+ years of writing experience related to software development, technical writing or project management

1+ years of proposal development experience related to software or enterprise technical solution for the Federal market

1+ years capture, business development or proposal development experience in the Federal sector

1+ years demonstrated professional writing skills using proven tools and established methods
