First Entertainment Credit Union is looking for a Community Relationship Specialist whose primary focus is deepening relationships with the community and driving business development opportunities through quality and high-touch events and outreach efforts. This role will support growth in key areas, including new memberships, deposits, lending dollar volume, and products per member.
The Community Relationship Specialist maintains an active presence within our community with each business development effort they facilitate. They will spend dedicated time interacting with attendees and promoting the array of financial products and solutions available.
This is a full-time, hybrid opportunity reporting to the Community Growth Manager and is based in Hollywood, CA. The targeted pay in California is between 75k~93k.
Responsibilities
• Facilitate business development efforts and programs within our community.
• Actively participate in meaningful discussions with potential and existing members on our line of products and services to drive membership growth.
• Practice active listening and exercise discretion based on needs in extending additional incentives to encourage sign-ups and drive cross-sell.
• Research, source, recommend and plan monthly events to expand and elevate brand awareness, leverage promotions, and showcase credit union benefits.
• Create and communicate engaging messages to the broader audience on upcoming events to encourage attendance and engagement.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure event readiness and seamless execution.
• Memorialize event experiences, social media moments, key takeaways post event and provide recommendations or observations in future event effectiveness.
• Capture leads and ensure follow-up with relevant sales teams.
• Continuously source opportunities to elevate member-facing events.
• Engage Select Employment Groups (SEGs) through events, check-ins, and outreach to ensure satisfaction.
• Partner with marketing and sales teams to align digital and marketing collateral for business development, event promotions and sponsorships.
• Identify opportunities to grow membership and promote new memberships.
• Keep abreast on market trends and strategize to encourage member referrals during events.
• Analyze engagement metrics, membership growth, and feedback to inform strategies.
• Collaborate with marketing and membership teams on managing promotional items and event materials.
• Collaborate on branch offers, pitch books, and presentations highlighting unique selling propositions (USPs).
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience in event planning, trade shows, and community outreach.
• Proven experience in community management, business development, or customer relations.
• Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing strategies.
• Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with proficiency in executive communication.
• Effective interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders.
• Experience in B2B development and account management.
• Proficiency in CRM software and event planning.
• Familiarity with membership-based organizations.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to events.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Product.
