🌀 The Company

Filigran, founded in October 2022, stands out in the cybertech ecosystem for its commitment to revolutionizing cyber threat management with a proactive approach. Its mission is to develop innovative open-source solutions designed to anticipate cyber threats, identify security gaps, and strengthen organizational security posture.

Filigran solutions are now trusted by over 6,000 public and private organizations worldwide.

🎯 The Role

We’re looking for a Community Experience Manager to join our Marketing team and help us build, engage, and grow one of the most active cybersecurity communities in the world. You’ll work closely with our Product and Engineering teams, connecting with thousands of users, amplifying their voices, and turning their feedback into real impact.

From moderating our 6,000+ member Slack community to launching ambassador programs and co-creating content, you’ll make sure every user feels supported, empowered, and part of something bigger.

💼 Your Responsibilities

  • Moderate and animate our Slack community, ensuring it remains safe, valuable, and welcoming.

  • Respond to community questions, share helpful resources, and initiate conversations on product usage and cybersecurity trends.

  • Design and run programs like the Filigran Ambassador Program to recognize and empower active contributors.

  • Organize recurring community events: calls, webinars, meetups, and more.

  • Source, co-create, and amplify community-driven content (success stories, tutorials, integrations).

  • Collect insights through polls, surveys, and direct interactions — and surface this feedback internally.

  • Collaborate with Product & Engineering to relay updates and ensure roadmap visibility.

  • Champion the voice of the community within Filigran, identifying patterns, needs, and opportunities.

🤝 Who You’ll Work With

You’ll report to the VP of Marketing and collaborate closely with:

  • Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers to loop feedback into development

  • Content, Events, and Growth team members for amplification

  • The Founders and Leadership Team on strategic community growth

You’ll also have a direct line to our users, many of whom are cybersecurity professionals (threat intel, SOC, red teamers), open-source contributors, and power users of our platforms.

🧬 Profile We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in community management, ideally in B2B tech, SaaS, or open-source ecosystems

  • Experience working on the US market

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

  • Experience managing active Slack or Discord communities

  • Confident using GitHub, Goldcast, Livestorm, or similar tools

  • Comfortable with cybersecurity topics — or eager to learn quickly

  • Empathetic communicator with strong organizational skills and a passion for connecting people

  • Bonus: experience with user advocacy programs or technical content co-creation

🌱 Why Join Filigran? More than just a job.

We’re a fast-growing, global, and fully remote company on a mission to empower defense teams to be proactive — through open-source solutions that uncover threats and drive action.

  • What we believe

We believe we do work that matters — uniting defenders into a global community to make security more open, resilient & collaborative.

  • 💻 How we work

That belief fuels how we work — with focus, clarity and high standards. Always with care and respect, never with ego.

  • 🧭 What guides us

That focus and care is grounded in our CORE values: Cohesion, Openness, Responsibility, and Equity — the compass that guides our decisions, collaborations, and growth, even when no one’s watching.

💰 Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive pay + equity — everyone shares in our success

  • Remote-first, flexible, and balanced — work that fits your life

  • Your setup, your choice — pick the gear that works for you

🌍 Equal Employment Opportunity

We enable cybersecurity through inclusion — from code to culture.

At Filigran, we are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We believe diversity of our people make our products and our team stronger. We welcome talent of every background, identity, and lived experience — regardless of race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, or veteran status.

What matters here is what you bring — not what you look like, where you’re from, or how you identify.

🚀 Ready to Join Us?

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
