Description

Lake Almanor Country Club (LACC), a resort-style homeowners association located on beautiful Lake Almanor, is seeking a professional, welcoming, and highly organized Community Communications Coordinator. This position serves as the face of the Administrative Office while managing communications that keep our homeowners informed, engaged, and connected.

The ideal candidate is personable, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing front-desk responsibilities with digital communications and administrative projects.

Key Responsibilities

Front Desk and Member Services

Serve as the first point of contact for homeowners, guests, vendors, and community partners.

Welcome visitors and provide friendly, professional assistance.

Answer and direct telephone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries.

Assist homeowners with forms, account questions, amenity information, community procedures, and online portal access.

Receive and distribute mail, deliveries, applications, and other documents.

Maintain an organized, professional, and welcoming Administrative Office.

Process registrations, permits, payments, and other routine front-desk transactions.

Direct questions and concerns to the appropriate department or manager.

Provide general administrative support to the General Manager and other departments as needed.

Community Communications

Prepare and distribute community-wide emails, eblasts, notices, alerts, reminders, and announcements.

Manage LACC’s social media accounts and maintain a consistent, professional online presence.

Make routine updates to the LACC website, including events, notices, forms, schedules, and community information.

Create clear and visually appealing flyers, digital graphics, signs, and promotional materials.

Coordinate content and assist with preparing the community newsletter.

Maintain the community calendar and promote meetings, programs, events, and operational updates.

Review communications for accuracy, clarity, grammar, branding, and appropriate tone before publication.

Coordinate with department managers and committees to gather accurate and timely information.

Help manage communications during emergencies, closures, weather events, and other time-sensitive situations.

Maintain organized electronic files, distribution lists, communication records, and content calendars.

Protect confidential homeowner, employee, and Association information.

Requirements

Qualifications

Previous experience in communications, customer service, office administration, community management, hospitality, or a related field is preferred.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Strong customer-service skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse community.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email platforms, social media, websites, and other digital communication tools.

Experience with Canva, newsletter platforms, website content management, or HOA management software is a plus.

Strong proofreading, editing, organization, and time-management skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

Sound judgment when handling sensitive or confidential matters.

Ability to remain calm, courteous, and solutions-focused during challenging interactions.

High school diploma or equivalent required; related college education or professional training is preferred.

Position Details

Full-time, year-round position

Primarily based in the LACC Administrative Office

Regular attendance and reliable transportation are required

Some evening, weekend, holiday, or special-event availability may be needed

Position reports to the General Manager
