Tria Federal is seeking a Communications Specialist – Internal Engagement & Change Management to support internal communications as well as external Veteran/stakeholder press releases. This individual will be responsible for developing, editing and advising VA staff on the best communication practices. These communication strategies shall enhance employee engagement, promote transparency, and support organizational change through multiple channels, including newsletters, press releases, and targeted messaging.
Responsibilities:
- Develop staff focused messages and newsletters:
- Create and edit communication to be distributed to VA staff
- Advise management of best practices for staff communication.
- Prepare Communication plans and material:
- Create a communication plan to present to management
- Support leadership in delivering clear and engaging messages
- Prepare message updates for various platforms and audiences
- Create and edit communication to be published on both internal and external repositories and websites
- Ensure communication material is clear, concise, relevant and easily accessible
- Develop Veteran and stakeholder documents and press releases
- Create and edit documents to be distributed to external stakeholders
- Prepare ad hoc reports, newsletters and other forms of communication on as needed basis
- Work closely with VA staff to create and edit communications as needs arise
- Advise VA staff on suggested forms of communication and plans to distribute to appropriate audiences
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years' experience of Public Relations and Communications experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience of revenue cycle management
- Strong writing, editing, and content development skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft SharePoint, Teams, and Office 365
