HiveMQ’s Vision for this Role:

HiveMQ is looking for an energetic Social & Engagement Manager to support communications and drive social media and creative brand activation. You’ll be responsible for amplifying HiveMQ’s story around Industrial AI and data intelligence across every earned media and social channel to build engagement, grow the community, and activate our brand in fresh and creative ways. This isn’t a traditional PR role; it’s an opportunity to shape how the world sees HiveMQ via organic growth, thought leadership, and AI-powered storytelling.

Reporting to the Director of Communications, you’ll collaborate closely with the content, community, and larger marketing team to ensure HiveMQ’s voice is present everywhere in the market.


What you’ll do:
  • Manage and grow our presence across key platforms including YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, Discord, and Reddit, ensuring brand consistency, voice, and engagement. Develop and deliver compelling short-form content tailored to each platform, leveraging trends and best practices to maximize reach and resonance with target audiences.
  • Utilize AI tools to streamline content ideation, creation, and scheduling, enhancing productivity and enabling data-driven optimization of messaging and formats.
  • Oversee daily operations and campaigns through HubSpot Social or similar platforms, ensuring efficient scheduling, analytics tracking, and audience engagement.
  • Cultivate and moderate online communities, fostering authentic dialogue, responding to inquiries, and building meaningful relationships with followers and fans.
  • Collaborate with PR teams or lead outreach to secure earned media coverage, build relationships with key media outlets, and support external communications efforts.

Who are you?

The ideal candidate for this role is a creative, AI-native communicator who sits at the intersection of technology, storytelling, and social engagement. You know how to take complex ideas and make them simple and impactful, turning content into real conversations. You’re not afraid to experiment and automate to scale your impact.

You should have the following:

  • 5+ years of experience in communications, PR, and/or social media marketing, preferably in B2B technology.
  • Proven ability to grow brand awareness and engagement through organic social, earned media, and thought leadership.
  • Skilled at driving creative brand activation across digital platforms including social channels like LinkedIn, YouTube, and Reddit and technical communities like Discord, podcasts, and emerging AI-native spaces.
  • Excellent short form writing and storytelling skills with a strong grasp of brand voice and the ability to translate technical concepts into compelling narratives.
  • Experience creating AI-assisted content workflows using tools to brainstorm and scale campaigns efficiently.
  • Strong understanding of social and engagement trends, including how to craft shareable content and brand experiences that drive visibility.
  • A self-starter mentality - comfortable testing ideas, learning quickly, and adapting in a fast-moving environment.

You might also have:

  • Familiarity with data and/or AI technologies and experience writing copy on these topics.
  • Proven results activating communities from online developer networks to industry forums.
  • Experience producing or repurposing short-form video content for brand storytelling.
  • Basic graphics skills such as utilizing templates in Figma, Canva, or Adobe tools.
