Acuity is seeking a Communication Specialist - Corporate Storyteller to help tell Acuity’s story through impactful communications that authentically reflect the company’s culture, brand, products, and services. This role is responsible for developing content strategies, creating compelling written content, and using journalistic storytelling techniques to uncover meaningful narratives that resonate with diverse audiences. The Communication Specialist will translate complex insurance concepts into engaging, accessible content while maintaining Acuity’s brand voice and tailoring messaging to support the communication needs of individual corporate leaders.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Journalistic Storytelling: Uncover, report, and write compelling internal and external stories that bring our business strategy and culture to life.
- Content Strategy: Plan, develop, and manage a multi-channel content calendar aligned with corporate goals and audience needs.
- Executive Communications: Craft thought-leadership pieces, speeches, and articles reflecting the unique voice and tone of individual leaders.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a connector of ideas and people across all functions and levels with the organization.
- Audience Insight: Analyze audience perceptions and data to tailor content formats for maximum engagement and clarity.
- Strategic Connector: Build relationships across the organization to connect and draw out authentic human stories across the business aligning content to strategic initiatives, objectives, and desired outcomes.
- Brand Steward: Ensure all communications align with the organization's brand standards, voice, and messaging.
- Project Management: Partner with internal stakeholders to define project scope, deliverables, timelines, and measures of success. Manage multiple projects simultaneously to ensure timely delivery and meet stakeholder expectations.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
5+ years experience in the communications, journalism, marketing or related field; experience working within the P&C industry is preferred.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent writing, interviewing, and editing skills.
- Strong understanding of corporate strategy, market dynamics, and complex business ecosystems.
