Job Overview:
As the Commission System Analyst, you will be at the heart of our global compensation system, responsible for managing and optimizing commission calculations, volumes, titles, genealogy, recognition, and payment processing across multiple regions. You will ensure data integrity and accuracy through testing, audits, and process optimization to meet the company’s business goals.
In this role, you will leverage modern tools and techniques to maintain and enhance the global compensation software system, streamline data transfers, and ensure timely, accurate payouts to distributors worldwide. You’ll be collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to drive system enhancements and ensuring our compensation strategies are running smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Integrity & Payment Accuracy:
- Ensure timely and precise processing of commissions, recognition, and payment data for global distributors.
- Regularly audit and test the commissions system to guarantee accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
- Lead the development of test scenarios, macros, and data reconciliation processes.
- System & Process Optimization:
- Continuously monitor and enhance the global commissions software platform to support updates and changes to compensation structures, incentive plans, and tax reporting.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless data transfers between systems, driving efficiencies and reducing manual processes.
- Reporting & Documentation:
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of compensation rules, system configurations, processes, and testing scenarios for transparency and compliance.
- Develop and manage reporting tools and dashboards for stakeholders, ensuring clear insights into compensation and payment processes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with Finance, Operations, and IT teams to troubleshoot issues and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Coordinate with international teams to ensure that compensation plans are executed accurately and consistently across markets.
- Continuous Improvement & Training:
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
- Mentor and guide junior team members and provide insights into system best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in managing compensation systems, ideally in a global environment.
- Hands-on experience with database management, reporting tools, and macro development.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Pick/jBase or other MultiValue databases.
- VBA programming skills, with the ability to build and maintain macros.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, macros, data manipulation) and Microsoft Visio.
- Familiar with system-to-system data transfer protocols and API integrations.
- Experience with compensation software configuration tools and UI design for business rules implementation.
- Additional Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of global compensation plans, incentive structures, and sales commission frameworks (MLM experience is a plus).
- Solid communication skills to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Able to manage projects and deliver results within tight timelines.
- Comfortable working in an Agile environment, with experience in project management methodologies.
- Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity with MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) sales models or other complex commission structures.
- Exposure to global tax reporting and income tax compliance for international distributors.
Additional Information:
- Travel: Occasional international travel may be required for training, project coordination, and system enhancements.
