Hiring Manager: VP, Sales

Location of Internship: Remote, but preferably Midwest-based (IA, MN, WI, IL, IN, or MI)  

Anticipated hours: Part-time (10–20 hours/week during fall–spring), with potential for full-time summer internship

Summary 

We’re looking for a motivated and analytical intern to join our Sales team supporting the Dairy, Livestock, and Agribusiness divisions. This role offers hands-on exposure to the business side of agriculture—combining market research, customer data analysis, and sales enablement. You’ll partner with experienced leaders across our divisions to improve prospecting lists, uncover new opportunities, and strengthen our understanding of the markets we serve.

What are some potential projects? 

  • Conduct market and industry research to identify new prospects and growth opportunities.
  • Support data analysis projects, including white-space analysis, pricing and contract tracking, and customer segmentation.
  • Assist with cleaning and organizing customer and contact lists to improve sales and marketing outreach.
  • Collaborate with regional sales teams to align on goals and share insights across Dairy, Livestock, and Agribusiness.
  • Participate in internal meetings and, when possible, regional team gatherings across the Midwest.
  • Provide general support for sales operations initiatives and ongoing commercial projects.

What competencies can you expect to receive/improve? 

  • Real-world experience supporting sales and marketing strategy in multiple ag markets.
  • Exposure to commercial operations, data analytics, and strategic decision-making.
  • Mentorship from cross-functional leaders across Dairy, Livestock, and Agribusiness divisions.
  • Flexible hours during the school year, with the option for expanded summer work.

About You (Qualifications): 

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Marketing, Data Analytics, or Business.
  • Familiarity with agriculture, dairy, livestock, and/or crop production is REQUIRED.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working with data.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
