Key Responsibilities
Build your book of business with support from our pricing, operations, and project teams.
  • Generate your own pipeline: Prospect through direct outreach, referrals, business networks, partnerships, and existing relationships. Prioritize expiring contracts, high energy costs, facility upgrades, and businesses with multiple locations.
  • Reach the right decision-makers: Engage business owners, finance leaders, property managers, and facility teams around energy budgets, contract exposure, and operational priorities.
  • Turn client information into a strategy: Review utility bills, usage patterns, contract dates, and facility needs to identify potential savings and shape practical recommendations.
  • Make the options clear: Present electricity and natural gas proposals that explain supplier differences, pricing, contract terms, and market conditions in language clients can act on.
  • Develop opportunities beyond procurement: Introduce solar, EV charging, battery storage, efficiency upgrades, and sustainability projects when the economics and client priorities support them.
  • Lead the sale through close: Move opportunities from discovery to proposal and signed agreement, drawing on internal deal support and coordinating a clear implementation handoff.
  • Build the next opportunity into each account: Maintain accurate pipeline records, follow up consistently, and stay ahead of contract expirations to earn renewals, referrals, and additional business.

Top Candidates Will Have
  • Demonstrated sales results: At least two years of sales experience, preferably B2B, with a record of winning clients and meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Ability to generate business: Comfortable prospecting, asking for referrals, and building relationships with business owners and decision-makers.
  • Consultative selling skills: Listen for business priorities, explain recommendations clearly, handle objections, and move conversations toward a decision.
  • Independent work discipline: Manage your pipeline, follow-up, and schedule consistently. Comfortable building income in a remote, 1099, commission-only role.
  • Energy experience preferred: Experience in energy consulting, procurement, or related fields is valuable. An established client book or professional network is a plus.

Earnings, Independence & Support
  • Uncapped commission potential: $50,000–$250,000+ in potential annual commissions, based on your sales results. This is a 1099, commission-only role with no base salary or guaranteed income.
  • Control over your workday: Work remotely, develop your market, and set your schedule around prospecting, client meetings, and account growth.
  • Supplier access and deal support: Put 110+ supplier relationships, pricing tools, proposal assistance, training, marketing resources, and back-office support to work for your clients.
  • Earning opportunities beyond the first contract: Grow your book through renewals, referrals, and additional energy projects. Develop a team as your business expands.
Build the Client Relationships. Have Support Behind the Deals.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
