Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate customer and vendor commercial contracts, including SaaS agreements, NDAs, Master Services Agreements (MSAs), and Professional Services Agreements.
  • Partner with Sales and business stakeholders to structure commercial deals and resolve contract issues in a timely and pragmatic manner.
  • Advise on contractual risk, negotiation strategy, and practical solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Support the General Counsel on a variety of legal matters as needed, which may include intellectual property matters, marketing review, privacy-related matters, and other general corporate legal activities.
  • Assist in developing, maintaining, and improving contract templates, playbooks, and contracting processes to support efficient and scalable business operations.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure legal terms align with operational needs and business priorities.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school and active license to practice law in California.
  • 2–3 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in‑house or at a law firm supporting technology or SaaS companies.
  • Hands-on experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements, including SaaS contracts, NDAs, MSAs, and Professional Services Agreements.
  • Experience in the financial services and/or mortgage industry, and exposure to data privacy matters, is a plus.
  • Experience partnering with or supporting Sales organizations is a plus.

  • Pragmatic, business‑minded approach to legal advice with a focus on enabling outcomes while managing risk.
  • Comfortable working cross‑functionally with stakeholders at varying levels of seniority.
  • Ability to work independently with sound judgment and appropriately escalate issues when needed.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to wear multiple hats in a fast‑growing environment.
