About the Role:
The Commercial Counsel will play a key role in providing strategic legal advice and support on a broad range of legal matters, focusing on commercial transactions. The primary focus will be on revenue producing agreements and vendor agreements, and will also include other general corporate legal issues. This Commercial Counsel will work closely with senior leadership to ensure legal compliance and facilitate commercial initiatives.
What You Will Do:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
o Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts and agreements, including vendor, partnership, and customer agreements.
o Act as point person between legal, growth, security and finance to own the contracting process.
o Provide legal analysis and strategic advice on potential transactions.
o Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations affecting the company's operations.
o Provide general legal support to internal departments on an as-needed basis.
About You:
o Bachelor’s degree in law, legal studies, business, or related field
o Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
o 5+ years of related experience, preferably in a corporate legal department and/or law firm.
o Strong knowledge of contract law and commercial transactions.
o Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
o Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
