This is a Commercial Account Manager sales role which manages direct sales to end-users within a large, specified geographic area, or holds responsibility for a specific industry or product segment on a national or regional basis. Level of seniority within this role may be determined by the size of the assigned geographic territory (region, district, or branch), the scope or significance of the industry/product segment covered, and other relevant factors. This is a hunter role focused on driving net new business growth through proactive prospecting and pipeline development.Key Responsibilities
  • Sell the organization's products or services to new and existing commercial clients, with a strong focus on developing net new accounts and expanding existing ones
  • Proactively prospect and generate new business opportunities, demonstrating a hunter mentality rather than relying solely on inbound or existing relationships
  • Sell through an assigned channel, manage a personal book of accounts, or collaborate as part of a sales team, typically handling small- to medium-sized accounts or a small-to-medium quota/territory
  • Complete moderately complex sales transactions with minimal supervision
  • Apply developing knowledge of products, services, and industry trends to recommend effective solutions for clients
  • Leverage AI-powered tools and technologies to enhance prospecting, personalize outreach, streamline sales workflows, and improve overall sales effectiveness
  • Manage and grow revenue and bookings for small to mid-size commercial accounts
  • Build and maintain a professional network of contacts within the industry
  • Identify and cultivate new sales opportunities from both prospective and current clients
  • Partner with senior sales personnel for guidance on more complex sales situations
Qualifications
  • University degree required
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant sales experience
  • Proven hunter mentality with a track record of, or strong aptitude for, generating net new business
  • Comfort and enthusiasm for incorporating AI tools and techniques into the sales process
  • Working understanding of company products and services
  • Effective use of established sales techniques
  • Developing familiarity with the relevant industry or specialty product/service area
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while knowing when to seek support from senior colleagues
Level ExpectationsCommercial Account Managers are expected to operate with growing independence, take on increasing revenue responsibility, and build the foundational skills and client relationships needed to progress toward more senior account management or sales positions.

Forcepoint is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range and variable compensation for this role is 220,000.00 - 250,000.00 and represents the low and high end of compensation for this position. Actual salaries are determined by various factors including, but not limited to, location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Forcepoint’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include bonuses, paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits
