Position Summary & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients to gather business requirements and translate them into functional specifications for the Ellucian Colleague Student Module. 
  • Configure and implement the Ellucian Colleague Student Module, ensuring that it meets the institution’s needs for student registration, academic records, grading, advising, and other student lifecycle management functions. 
  • Provide hands-on configuration, customization, and troubleshooting support for the Ellucian Colleague Student Module. 
  • Develop and document best practices, workflows, and standard operating procedures for using the Student Module. 
  • Assist with system testing, including data migrations, integrations, and post-implementation support. 
  • Deliver training sessions to end users, including staff and faculty, ensuring smooth system adoption. 
  • Provide ongoing support and system maintenance, troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise. 
  • Stay current with updates and new features in Ellucian Colleague and provide recommendations for improvements and optimizations. 
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including technical teams and business stakeholders, to ensure integration with other systems and alignment with institutional goals. 
  • Assist in report generation and analytics related to student data, enrollment, and performance. 
  • Help institutions navigate compliance with data privacy and security standards. 

Consultant Qualifications

  • Five or more years working directly with the Colleague Student functionality at a college or university or as a Colleague consultant, demonstrating advanced user proficiency 
  • Experience implementing the Colleague student module at a college or university 
  • Demonstrated expertise using Colleague to improve and automate business processes within the Registrar, Admissions or Records office at a college or university 
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical and functional issues within the Colleague Student module 
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills and a proven customer service approach 
  • Highly self-directed with solid problem-solving expertise 
  • Experience developing reports in support of the various student areas utilizing Colleague preferred 
  • Ability to communicate user requirements to technical support team 
  • Knowledge of how Colleague is used in a variety of institutional types preferred 
  • Experience with Ellucian Colleague Cloud Services and related technologies is a plus 
  • Thorough knowledge of relational databases preferred 
  • Ability to read and write SQL queries preferred 
  • Ellucian Colleague Badges preferred 


Pay and Benefits

  • The salary range is $90,000 -$120,000 plus bonus

Not looking for full-time, we also hire part-time consultants.


The listed salary range for this position is indicative and subject to adjustment based on the candidate's unique skills and location. Final compensation will be determined through mutual agreement between the successful candidate and SIG.
