Job Description

Title: - Cognos Developer
Location: - San Diego, CA
Joining Mode: - 6 Month Contract

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:-

Lead full cycle of consulting, design, coding, testing and documentation of the BI Platform.

Leads the strategy and provides end to end solution for a business requirement.

Responsible for driving the BI architecture decisions and able to understand the current state, existing gaps and recommendations to improve.

Develop trusted relationships with executives and managers in IT and business departments

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with demonstrated ability to explain technical info to non-technical audience in a clear, focused and concise manner

Promoting, Training and helping stakeholders using self-service reporting tools

Lead sessions on collecting and interpreting enterprise reporting requirements and document those requirements in form of solution roadmaps and translates them into technical specifications.

Create strategies for optimizing and standardizing the processes.

Responsible for managing best practices while designing the solutions allowing implementation of flexible reporting capability.

Work closely with DWH architect, ETL, and BI development teams to develop and maintain documentation for reporting which may include common business vocabulary, and taxonomies.

Work Experience in Oracle DW & Informatica

Must be knowledgeable in all aspects of SDLC and ensures that solutions are designed, developed and maintained as part of structured SDLC and ITIL business process

Participates in strategic planning for application roadmap and proactively identifying changes in business and technology landscape that would impact application.
