About the role

The Co-Developed ETF Manager is a critical leadership role within Tidal Financial Group responsible for overseeing and accelerating the performance of a defined set of strategic ETF relationships and products where Tidal plays an elevated role in product development, partner alignment, and long-term growth outcomes. 


This role sits at the intersection of product development, client partnerships, brand building, competitive strategy, and capital markets execution. The Co-Developed ETF Manager is accountable for driving new partnerships, shaping product roadmaps, strengthening existing co-developed brands, and ensuring each product’s long-term growth trajectory. 


This is a high-visibility, high-impact role with direct influence on Tidal’s revenue, reputation, and strategic evolution. 

What you'll do

Client & Partner Management 

  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for co-developed product partners (sponsors, sub-advisors, collaborators). 
  • Lead regular business reviews, performance updates, and strategic planning sessions. 
  • Negotiate commercial terms, partnership agreements, product mandates, and roadmap commitments. 

 Portfolio Leadership 

  • Own the strategic direction and day-to-day oversight of Tidal’s co-developed ETFportfolio. 
  • Monitor product performance, flows, positioning, liquidity, and distribution traction; convert insights into action. 
  • Develop structured roadmaps for each co-developed ETF, including enhancements, marketing needs, and long-term innovation opportunities. 

Competitive Landscape & Market Intelligence 

  • Maintain a constant pulse on the competitive environment across ETF categories relevant to the co-developedportfolio. 
  • Track competitor product launches, fee changes, index methodology updates, positioning shifts, flows, media sentiment, and distribution patterns. 
  • Identify early signals of competitive threat or opportunity and translate them into proactive strategy adjustments 
  • Deliver concise, actionable competitive analysis to leadership and product partners to inform product decisions and roadmap evolution. 
  • Ensure Tidal’s co-developed products are always positioned for success, either through differentiation, innovation, or superior execution. 

Product Development & Innovation 

  • Identify new co-developed ETFopportunities based on market demand, competitive whitespace, and partner conversations. 
  • Lead concept development, commercial analysis, and feasibility assessment. 
  • Partner with internal teams to bring products from idea → launch → scale. 

Brand & Growth 

  • Oversee brand development for co-developed products such as messaging, positioning, audience targeting, and go-to-market planning. 
  • Collaborate with marketing to drive awareness, usage, and advisor engagement. 
  • Monitor advisor/investor sentiment, digital footprint, and ecosystem chatter; help optimize brand strategy accordingly. 

Capital Markets & Trading Collaboration 

  • Work closely with Tidal’s capital markets team to ensure optimal liquidity provision, market maker engagement, creation/redemption dynamics, and trading health. 
  • Ensure co-developedETFs maintain high market quality and an exceptional investor experience. 

Financial & Strategic Accountability 

  • Track and report product-level economics, revenue contribution, and margin impact. 
  • Identify and execute levers to maximize economics including pricing improvements, distribution expansion, strategic partnerships, or product extensions. 
  • Recommend areas of investment or reallocation based on product performance and competitive position. 

Qualifications

  • Deep ETF experience across product, capital markets, strategy, or distribution (12+ years preferred). 
  • Strong understanding of ETF structure, liquidity, trading, regulations, and competitive dynamics. 
  • Proven ability to manage complex partnerships and negotiate meaningful commercial outcomes. 
  • Experience building and scaling brands or product franchises. 
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to spot trends early and convert insights into action. 
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills. 
  • High EQ, high IQ, and high accountability. 
  • Comfortable operating in a high-velocity, entrepreneurial environment.
