About the Role

As the CMC Project Manager you will be a critical team member to our technical operations group and will support the planning, execution, and oversight of key CMC activities across our pipeline.

On a day-to-day basis you will follow up with internal stakeholders and communicate project updates to the team, maintain project timelines, develop templates to track deliverables, and facilitate meetings, including agendas, meeting minutes, and tracking action items. You must have experience in sample management, outstanding organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively and engage effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and external partners.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a collaborative, cross-functional team, building project management tools and processes supporting initiatives across our portfolio. We are building a culture of individuals who hold our core principles at the center of our operations, with the goal to elevate the care of our patients’ lives. We are open to you working remotely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support CMC and technical operations teams, to ensure that deliverables are completed on schedule, within scope and budget, and aligned with program goals.
  • Own sample management processes, including tracking, shipment, inventory control, and documentation in compliance with regulatory and quality requirements.
  • Coordinate cross-functional project teams, including analytical, process development, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, and supply chain functions to ensure alignment and progress.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, dashboards, and status reports.
  • Facilitate effective communication between internal teams and external partners (vendors, CMOs, and CROs).
  • Work collaboratively with PMs across functions to identify process improvements, optimize resource planning, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Proactively identify risks, issues, and dependencies, and escalate appropriately with mitigation recommendations.
  • Support the preparation of project documentation, including meeting agendas, minutes, and decision logs.
  • Track and report progress against milestones to senior management and program leadership.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in scientific or engineering discipline.
  • Hands-on experience with sample management, including logistics, shipping, tracking systems, and compliance with GxP requirements.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic start-up environment.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills; proven ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent).
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a collaborative and solutions-oriented approach.
  • Highly motivated team player.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
