About the RoleWe are seeking a Cloud Platform Tech Lead Engineer to own the architecture, reliability, and evolution of the platform that powers our engineering organization.
In this role, you will lead a cross-functional team spanning Cloud Platform, DevOps, SRE, and Data Engineering, defining how infrastructure, services, and data systems are built, deployed, and operated at scale.
You will be responsible for the technical vision and execution of the cloud platform, ensuring it supports mission-critical systems, scales with company growth, and enables engineers to move quickly without sacrificing reliability, security, or cost efficiency.
This role is both deeply technical and highly strategic—ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys building systems that other engineers depend on.
What You’ll DoLead Platform ArchitectureDefine and drive the technical direction of the cloud platform
Establish standards across infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, and data systems
Make architectural decisions that balance speed, scalability, and maintainability
Design and own foundational platform services, including:
shared runtimes
service frameworks
data infrastructure
Architect and operate Kubernetes-based environments for reliable multi-service systems
Ensure infrastructure is secure, scalable, and cost-efficient
Lead development of CI/CD systems and deployment workflows
Establish SRE practices including SLIs, SLOs, and incident response frameworks
Define observability standards across logging, metrics, and tracing
Improve operational maturity through automation and continuous improvement
Build self-service tooling and paved paths for deploying and operating services
Partner across autonomy, hardware, backend, and data teams to remove bottlenecks
Ensure platform systems support both application and data workloads seamlessly
Maintain strong security practices across infrastructure and systems
Troubleshoot complex issues across distributed systems, networking, and services
7+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, DevOps, or SRE
Proven experience acting as a technical lead driving architecture and execution
Strong proficiency with Go, Docker, and Kubernetes
Deep understanding of distributed systems and cloud architecture
Experience operating large-scale production systems
Ability to design platforms that support multiple engineering teams
Strong problem-solving skills and comfort in a fast-paced startup environment
Experience leading SRE or reliability programs
Experience building data platforms or pipelines
Background in robotics, UAVs, or distributed hardware systems
Experience with AWS and large-scale cloud environments
Strong networking fundamentals
Experience with C/C++ for edge or embedded integration
A scalable, reliable cloud platform supporting all engineering teams
Well-defined CI/CD, observability, and reliability standards adopted company-wide
Reduced operational toil through automation and self-service tooling
Platform systems that scale with autonomy, data, and production workloads
