Job Details
As the Cloud Platform Architect at Cencora, you will lead the development and implementation of cloud security strategies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that security is integrated into all aspects of cloud architecture, operations, and governance.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and articulate the end-to-end cloud security strategy and architecture, ensuring alignment with organizational governance across IT projects.
  • Assist project teams in making informed design decisions that meet broader security objectives.
  • Review cloud security design decisions and contribute to the target operating model in response to digital transformation initiatives.
  • Enforce compliance with Cencora's security policies and standards across all projects, identifying architectural risks through threat risk assessments.
  • Conduct Azure configuration compliance reviews, including risk assessment and documentation of residual risk positions.
  • Produce thought leadership content to enhance cloud security architecture and strategies.
  • Review and approve Azure policy exemption requests to ensure alignment with security standards.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop security-related procedures and guidelines that support information security policies.
  • Ensure that security requirements are established and implemented in projects.
  • Work with the Information Security Risk and Compliance teams to embed risk assessment requirements into the information security architecture.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive security documentation and designs for technical and process controls.
  • Play a key role in integrating security into the SDLC and build phases.
  • Engage with engineering teams to design and review system architectures, establishing secure patterns and principles.
  • Collaborate with business units to develop strategies to counter emerging cloud-based threats.
  • Liaise with Security Operations to ensure timely development and delivery of operational security processes.
  • Partner with architects and engineers across infrastructure, network, application, and business teams to ensure solutions comply with Cencora's policies and standards.

Requirements:
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or any other related discipline or equivalent related experience.

Preferred Certifications:
  • Azure Security Engineer Certification
  • Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
  • Certification in Information Security Strategy Management (CISM)
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • CompTIA Security + Certification
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)
  • TS-SCI Security Clearance Certification

Work Experience:
  • 8+ years of directly-related or relevant experience, preferably in information security.

Salary Range*
$124,000 - 190,850
*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
