Own end-to-end marketplace enablement and automation across cloud marketplaces (offer creation, SKU-to-entitlement mapping, provisioning, metering, and controls). Build repeatable processes, playbooks, and templates; automate deal-cycle steps; instrument funnel metrics and feedback loops; partner cross-functionally to ensure accurate fulfillment and global repeatability.

We’re looking for problem solvers, innovators, and dreamers who are searching for anything but business as usual. Like us, you’re a high performer who’s an expert at your craft, constantly challenging the status quo. You value inclusivity and want to join a culture that empowers you to show up as your authentic self. You know that success hinges on commitment, that our differences make us stronger, and that the finish line is always sweeter when the whole team crosses together.

Alteryx is searching for a Marketplace Operations Engineer. This position is remote-friendly.

Alteryx is building a transactable Marketplace—a platform that showcases and supports verified add-ons built by Alteryx and our partners to accelerate customer outcomes. We’re hiring a Marketplace Operations Engineer to make Alteryx easy to buy, deploy, and renew through cloud channels and to turn marketplaces into a repeatable revenue engine, not a one-off exception process.

This is an operator-builder role. Additionally, you’ll own the mechanics that make transactions work end-to-end across AWS, Google Cloud, Snowflake, and Databricks: offer creation (public + private), approvals, SKU-to-entitlement mapping, provisioning automation, and controls. You’ll work across Sales, Partners, RevOps, Product, Engineering, Legal, and Deal Desk to remove friction and enforce guardrails.

What You’ll Own:

  • Marketplace Enablement (Repeatability at Scale)

    • Build the repeatable “how to transact” path for AEs and partners (playbooks, FAQs, runbooks).

    • Create and maintain SKU guides, offer templates, approval flows, and launch checklists.

    • Define process by region: who initiates, who approves, who books, who provisions, who supports

  • Offer Creation & Deal-Cycle Automation

    • Configure and manage public and private offers across supported marketplaces.

    • Standardize packaging (e.g., “T-shirt sizing” S/M/L) for Alteryx One offers, AI Data Kits, services attach, and renewals.

    • Automate manual steps to reduce deal-cycle touchpoints (intake → approvals → offer creation → fulfillment).

  • Technical Integration & Provisioning

    • Own the mapping: Marketplace SKUs → Alteryx One entitlements (and any add-on entitlements).

    • Ensure provisioning triggers correct downstream access, usage metering, and customer onboarding.

    • Partner with Product/Engineering to prevent and resolve breakages in fulfillment, entitlement, metering, or renewal flows.

  • Data, Forecasting & Controls

    • Instrument the funnel: offer state, cycle time, conversion %, pipeline velocity, attach rate, and leakage.

    • Create feedback loops to RevOps on pricing leaks, offer cannibalization, and discount discipline.

    • Surface risks early when marketplace mechanics threaten margin, compliance, or architecture guardrails.

Success Looks Like:

  • Private & public offer cycle time: end-to-end (offer request → transactable).

  • Marketplace-sourced and partner-led revenue: measurable quarter-over-quarter growth.

  • Fulfillment accuracy: zero manual cleanups post-provisioning; clean entitlement + metering.

  • Global repeatability: templates and processes reused across AMER/EMEA/APAC (not reinvented).

What You Bring (must-have):

  • 7+ years in marketplace operations, SaaS deal operations, cloud GTM operations, provisioning/entitlements, or adjacent platform operations roles.

  • Direct experience setting up and running offers on at least one major marketplace (AWS/GCP/Azure/Snowflake/Databricks); multi-marketplace experience strongly preferred.

  • Working knowledge of how SaaS provisioning actually works: entitlements, identity/access, metering, fulfillment triggers, renewals, and operational failure modes.

  • Ability to speak revenue mechanics: pricing, discounting ranges, margin impact, services attach, and approval guardrails.

  • Comfort saying “no” when an offer breaks pricing discipline, legal/commercial constraints, or technical architecture.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of analytics/data workflows and modern cloud architectures.

  • Ability to build production-grade operational automation using APIs, Python, and SQL (and lightweight tooling/scripts as needed).

  • Familiarity with at least one cloud data platform ecosystem: Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Redshift, or AWS.

Ways of Working:

  • Builder mindset: you prefer shipping working systems over slideware.

  • High ownership and high judgment in ambiguity; you can make tradeoffs and move fast with guardrails.

  • Partner-first and field-critical orientation: you optimize for scale, reuse, and repeatability (not bespoke exceptions).

Why Alteryx:

You’ll sit at the intersection of data platforms, analytics, and AI, shaping how Alteryx shows up inside enterprise cloud procurement and deployment paths. This role has direct impact on partner velocity, seller productivity, and customer time-to-value—by making marketplace transacting the default route-to-market.

Compensation:

Alteryx is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. Final compensation is determined by several factors, including but not limited to relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.

The salary range for this role in the United States is $122,500 - $161,000 (On Target Earnings range is $175,000 - $230,000).

  • A monthly Connectivity Plus stipend of $150 to support remote work-related expenses

  • An annual $200 home office reimbursement

Alteryx offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your health, financial security, and overall well-being, including:

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
