 Job Summary: 

Lendz Financial is seeking a Closing Specialist to support our rapidly growing business. This individual will be responsible for the following: close first and second mortgage loans in accordance with applicable federal/state laws as well as Client's policies and procedures. Prepare mortgage packages for delivery to settlement companies for purposes of closing on non-QM loans. To coordinate the closing and funding of assigned loan packages. 

Responsibilities 

  • Review and analyze loan files to ensure completeness and accuracy of all required documents. 
  • Prepare closing documents, including the LE, CD, redisclosures, mortgage note, and mortgage security instrument. 
  • Coordinate with all parties involved in the loan transaction, including borrowers, lenders, attorneys, and title companies, to ensure a smooth closing process. 
  • Ensure that all closing conditions are satisfied before releasing funds for the loan. 
  • Work with title companies to ensure that all title issues are resolved before closing. 
  • Verify that all loan terms and conditions are in compliance with federal and state laws and regulations. 
  • Coordinate with account managers and underwriters to resolve any issues that may arise during the loan closing process. 
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all loan transactions. 
  • Provide excellent customer service to all parties involved in the loan transaction. 
  • Ensure that all loan documentation is properly filed and stored in accordance with regulatory requirements. 
  • Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and changes that may affect the mortgage closing and disclosing process. 

Qualifications: 

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Proven time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines 
  • Proactive, independent, and able to take initiative 
  • Excellent customer service skills 
  • Ability to adapt to fluctuating workflows and manage multiple tasks 
  • High School Diploma or GED 
  • Experience in closing mortgages required 
  • Working knowledge of mortgage lending requirements, regulations, and loan procedures 
  • Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
