Blend is seeking a Close Notary Specialist based in Texas to support our eClose Operations Team. This hybrid role involves performing remote online notarizations (RON) and supporting external notaries using Blend’s digital platform. You'll ensure seamless, secure closings and provide real-time technical and operational support to both notaries and signing participants.
What You'll Do:- Perform RON signings, primarily for mortgage and real estate closings.
- Support external notaries, borrowers and lender representatives via phone, text, and ticketing system.
- Troubleshoot borrower onboarding and signing room issues.
- Tag Hybrid documents to prepare them for e-signing.
- Escalate technical problems to engineering and follow through to resolution.
- Differentiate between user error and product bugs, and act accordingly.
- Facilitate and moderate live RON signings to ensure smooth execution.
- Maintain strong relationships with RON vendors and provide ongoing support.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Product to test features, report bugs, and enhance user experience.
- Assist with new lender onboarding, training materials, and workflow documentation.
- Manage multiple tasks across calls, tickets, and Slack messages in a fast-paced environment.
- Return all communications promptly and handle other operational tasks as needed.
- Active Texas Notary Public commission with RON certification.
- 1+ years of experience in customer support, operations, or tech support (mortgage/title/fintech preferred).
- Strong troubleshooting, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with tools like Freshdesk, Slack, and eClosing platforms (e.g., Notarize, DocuSign, Snapdocs).
- Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to work independently.
- Team-oriented, proactive, and eager to investigate and resolve issues.
- Familiarity with eClosing workflows and state-specific notarial requirements a plus.
- Bilingual abilities a plus.
To comply with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base pay ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location.
For full time hires, the hourly compensation range is $24.00 - $27.00. Blend benefits and perks are described below.
Final pay offer amounts will vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to function, level, geographic location, job related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay will be adjusted for part-time roles to reflect scheduled hours.
