Description

The Clinical Supply Chain Coordinator position will support the day-to-day execution of clinical supply chain activities. The Clinical Supply Chain Coordinator will support GMP inventory tracking, clinical labeling and packaging coordination, shipment monitoring, and documentation control. The role will work cross-functionally with Quality, Manufacturing, Clinical Operations, and external vendors. The Clinical Supply Chain Coordinator will assist the broader Clinical Supply Chain team in maintaining accurate, audit-ready records and supporting the timely, compliant flow of clinical trial materials across studies from early development through late-stage trials.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The main responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to the following:

  • Coordinate day-to-day clinical supply activities across active studies under the direction of the Manager, Clinical Supply Chain.
  • Track clinical material inventory levels, expiry dates, and resupply needs, and flag potential shortages or risks to the Manager.
  • Prepare supply forecasts, shipment schedules, and status reports for cross-functional teams.
  • Coordinate meeting logistics, action item tracking, and follow-up communications for supply chain planning meetings.
  • Support the review and filing of clinical labels, packaging configurations, master batch records, and distribution documentation.
  • Maintain accurate, lot- and kit-level traceability records for investigational and auxiliary materials.
  • Reconcile GMP inventory across CMOs and clinical depots, escalating discrepancies as needed.
  • Maintain documentation that is organized, complete, and inspection-ready.
  • Coordinate with CMOs, packaging/labeling partners, depots, and couriers on routine shipment and scheduling activities.
  • Track vendor deliverables and shipment status, escalating delays or issues to the Manager, Clinical Supply Chain.
  • Assist in monitoring temperature-controlled shipments and support investigation of excursions or deviations under guidance.
  • Maintain vendor contact lists, shipping schedules, and standard operating procedures.
  • Support day-to-day monitoring of the IRT/RTSM system, including kit inventory status and resupply alerts.
  • Assist in verifying kit numbers, expiration data, and depot-to-site allocations for accuracy.
  • Facilitate discrepancies or system issues to the Manager, Clinical Supply Chain for resolution.
  • Support maintenance of clinical supply chain SOPs and work instructions.
  • Collaborate with QA on documentation requests and audit preparation activities.
  • Compile supply-related content for regulatory submissions as directed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • B.S. in Life Sciences, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, or clinical operations, with internship or co-op experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology setting considered a plus.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Familiarity with GMP/GDP concepts is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and the ability to quickly learn new applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with changing priorities.
  • Team player who takes initiative, follows direction well, and is eager to learn.
  • Experience with inventory management systems or IRT/RTSM platforms is a plus.

$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 annual salary
