Provide direct patient nutrition care and education in an endocrinology clinic. Assess nutritional status using history, physical exam, labs and anthropometrics; develop individualized nutrition care plans considering age, culture and comorbidities; document assessment, intervention and monitoring in the medical record; support menu development, meal planning, and patient food production.
Cottage Clinic Associates seeks a Clinical Dietitian for their Endocrinology Clinic responsible for providing direct patient nutrition care or nutrition education. One of the essential duties of this position is to be directly responsible for the evaluation of nutritional care affecting menu development, meal planning, and patient food production. Major accountabilities include:
- Accurately assesses nutritional status utilizing medical history, physical assessment, laboratory and anthropometric data as well as patient/family acquired diet history.
- Develops nutritional plan of care that includes attention to age, developmental, social and cultural status, medical condition and co-morbidities.
- Documents in the medical record utilizing a model of assessment, intervention, and monitoring of nutrition care.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
- Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
- Minimum: Certified Diabetes Educator, Registered Dietitian Eligible (RD credential within 6 months of hire); Current California Food Handlers Card or ServSafe Certificate.
- Preferred: Registered Dietitian (RD) Credential.
Technical Requirements:
- Minimum: Basic computer skills including MS Word.
- Preferred: Experience with Nutrition related Software (i.e. compatriot, Food Processor) and Epic Systems.
Years of Related Work Experience:
- Minimum: Completed Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics accredited internship.
- Preferred: 0-3 years’ experience as a Clinical Dietitian.
