Job Summary:

The Clinical Accreditation Specialist is responsible for assuring that systems and processes are in place to promote and facilitate continuous quality improvement activities that satisfy, but are not limited only to satisfying, the requirements of accrediting bodies.  The Clinical Accreditation Specialist will introduce recognized quality metrics for processes and outcomes to monitor and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Sharecare’s processes and services to assure delivery of quality products and services to clients, to meet its strategic objectives, promote internal and external customer satisfaction, and meet accreditation requirements. 

The Clinical Accreditation Specialist will be responsible for helping maintain NCQA and other accreditations and meeting any quality-oriented regulatory compliance requirements.  Within the Quality structure the Specialist will also assure development and execution of surveys or assessments of program participant satisfaction and impact of program design.  The Specialist will help interpret the results, distribute them to internal customers, and suggest improvement strategies. 

The successful candidate will possess a background in nursing, quality, continuous quality improvement and accreditation, project management, and a track record of implementing these concepts, preferably in a health care organization. Must have the ability to get things done, be a good listener, motivator, leader, innovator, communicator, facilitator, and advocate.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintains knowledge and stays up to date on healthcare quality & clinical practices. 
  • Provide support for Quality Improvement (QI) projects 
  • Assure that appropriate process and outcomes metrics are in place, together with the necessary interventions to drive metrics and performance management tools 
  • Assure that accreditation standards are met and maintained throughout the organization.  
  • Understands health plan products, functions, and policies & procedures, and their relationship with Sharecare’s accreditations and certifications.   
  • Maintains working knowledge of Industry, evidence-based medicine, and of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulatory standards.

  • Ability to examine and evaluate the effectiveness of Sharecare’s current processes and to monitor its success in meeting/exceeding corporate objectives in accordance with plans and policies.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to communicate and work with people at all levels. 
  • Strong leadership and presentation skills. 
  • Knowledgeable of how decisions impact all aspects of the business. Approaches his/her work as an interconnected system. 
  • Strong business acumen, thinks strategically and implements tactically. Will drive toward achievement and effectively execute a business plan. 
  • Instinctive ability to anticipate market needs and accreditation and reporting requirements. 
  • Self-confidence, honesty and a high degree of integrity. 
  • Excellent planning and problem-solving skills; information and detail oriented. 
  • Proven ability to create and execute a project plan for an operating business. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Licensed Nurse (RN or LPN)
  • Experience in a direct patient care medical field (ie. Nursing), or Public Health is preferred 
  • 2+ years of experience in the field of health care accreditation and quality management  
  • familiar with continuous improvement and quality tools 
  • Project management experience strongly preferred 
  • Minimal travel may be required to meet business needs
