The Client Services Associate supports financial advisors by processing account paperwork, communicating with clients, tracking requests, and maintaining organized files while delivering excellent customer service.

Please note that the work location for this role is on site at either our Santa Monica, CA office or our Sebastopol, CA office. The starting wage range for this position is $76k - $81k.
What You’ll Do:
- Process account paperwork quickly and with as little disruption to the client experience as possible.
- Approach every client and future client interaction with empathy and clarity when completing tasks like account opening, responding to requests for money, and providing informational updates.
- Track all open requests closely, with an intense attention to detail.
- Build client relationships while delivering white-glove customer service
- Assist with team projects; helping build new processes and revamp old ones
- Keep client files organized and updated, saving documents with legal compliance in a consistent and logical location.
- Log every activity and event related to clients promptly into Salesforce, our CRM (Customer Relationship Management software).
- Work with clients, advisors, and external financial custodians to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
- Work as a true team player, providing assistance, answering questions, covering for coworkers, and helping with training.
Must-Haves:
- 2 - 4 years of experience working directly with clients in a financial planning environment
- Series 65 Certification
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills - on the phone, in person, and in writing; provides prompt communication to clients and advisors without errors
- Takes initiative on case work and holds advisors accountable on client services processes
- Good problem solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot situations independently, while treating clients with patience and providing status updates
- Good organization and prioritization skills to keep service moving and on time
- High EQ with strong self control and interpersonal skills
- Working technological savvy with a comfort for cloud-based applications, e-signatures, and CRM (SalesForce)
