The Role:

DailyPay is seeking an experienced Client Platform Engineer II to take a significant role in architecting, building, and managing our advanced client endpoint infrastructure. This full-time position is designed for a experienced engineer progressing from a Client Platform Engineer II or equivalent role, who can independently drive complex projects, enhance platform stability and security, and mentor junior engineers. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in endpoint technologies, a strong aptitude for automation and system design, and a commitment to engineering excellence.

How You Will Make an Impact:
  • Lead the design, implementation, and management of key components of DailyPay's client endpoint platforms (macOS, iOS, Linux and Windows)

  • Develop and champion advanced automation strategies using scripting (Python, Shell) and other tools to improve efficiency and reliability of client systems

  • Architect and administer endpoint management solutions (e.g., Jamf, Crowdstrike) at an advanced level, including complex policy design, compliance enforcement, and system integration

  • Drive initiatives to enhance client platform security, collaborating with IT Security to design and implement robust security measures and respond to emerging threats

  • Own and resolve the most complex Tier 3/4 escalation issues, performing deep root cause analysis and implementing preventative solutions

  • Lead technical evaluations of new client technologies, hardware, and software, providing recommendations and overseeing deployment for significant projects

  • Establish and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, architectural diagrams, and operational standards for client platforms. Mentor Client Platform Engineer I and other IT team members, providing technical guidance and fostering knowledge sharing

  • Design and manage integrations for core client-facing services, including identity management (e.g., Okta), collaboration suites (e.g., Google Workspace), from an advanced platform perspective

  • Build and refine upstream architectural solutions to proactively address and prevent IT infrastructure challenges related to client platforms

  • Oversee and enhance Mac imaging and modern deployment workflows (e.g., Apple Automated Device Enrollment), including advanced authentication, profile management, and application packaging strategies

  • Participate in the On-Call IT rotation for critical platform-related incidents

  • Occasional enterprise-wide system implementations or maintenance requiring after hours work Participate in an On-Call IT rotation schedule

What You Bring to The Team:
  • Vast experience administering Jamf, Okta, Jira, Google Workspace, Meraki Stack, Email Filtering and other relevant enterprise tools

  • Expert experience in architecting, managing, and engineering macOS and iOS devices in large, complex enterprise environments.

  • Experience with Windows client engineering is a plus

  • Advanced proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) for complex automation, system integration, and developing platform tools

  • Expert-level knowledge and administration of endpoint management platforms (e.g., Jamf, Intune), including API utilization and integration capabilities

  • Deep understanding and practical application of identity and access management solutions (e.g., Okta) in complex client platform architectures, including advanced integration patterns

  • Extensive experience in administering, securing, and integrating core enterprise SaaS applications (e.g., Google Workspace, Jira) from a platform engineering standpoint

  • Strong understanding of advanced networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Zero Trust) and their application to client platform design and security

  • Exposure to Secure Service Edge (SSE) and Next-Generation Firewall platforms (e.g., Zscaler, Netskope, Palo Alto, Fortinet)

  • Expert knowledge of IT security principles, threat modeling, and best practices for designing and maintaining secure client endpoint environments

  • Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to lead root cause analysis for critical and multifaceted technical issues

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical designs and strategies to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Proficiency with CLI tools, version control systems (e.g., GitHub), and CI/CD practices for managing platform configurations and automation scripts

  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and tools (e.g., Terraform) for managing client infrastructure components

  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to technical projects, manage priorities effectively, and work autonomously on complex engineering tasks

  • Experience mentoring junior engineers or IT staff

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in a business environment.
