JOB SUMMARY

This job is responsible for sales of Senior Products line of business including: Medicare Advantage HMO and PPO (SecurityBlue and FreedomBlue), Medicare supplemental plan (MedigapBlue) and Medicare prescription Drug Plans (Blue Rx). The incumbent is responsible for group customers directly impacting the sale/retention decision with the intention of growing/maintaining an assigned book of business. Responsible for achieving quarterly new sales and annual retention goals on all groups. Supports enrollment objective related to Direct Pay while assuring that administrative operations are accurately performed, recorded and monitored for reporting.  The incumbent effectively coordinates resources, monitors personal production results and manages sales operations to maximize enrollments.

This will be a hybrid based role at one of our locations. Onsite T, W, Th.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicate effectively through the proper use of written and verbal communication with all levels of management both internal and external.
  • Responsible for the sale of Sr. Products line of business including HMO, PPO, Medigap and Blue RX.
  • Responsible for group customers directly impacting the sale/retention decision with the intention of growing/maintaining an assigned book of business.
  • Responsible for achieving quarterly new sales and annual retention goals on all groups.
  • Initiate group prospecting activities by identifying potential prospects and works in collaboration with the Organization's client managers, group decision makers, brokers and consultants to bring in new group business to the Organization.
  • Responsible for administrative duties associated with client management.
  • Responsible for the sale of Sr. Products line of business including HMO, PPO, Medigap and Blue RX on a Direct Pay basis.
  • Responsible to capture individuals leaving groups accounts and continuing enrollment on a direct pay basis.
  • Other duties as assigned or requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Bachelors Degree or relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of bachelor's degree
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in health insurance sales
  • PA Producer License with lines of authority in Accident and Health or must be obtained within 45 days of hire

  • Demonstrated negotiation and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of traditional selling concepts and strategies
  • Experience with PC software including PowerPoint, Excel and Word

Pay Range Minimum:

$64,000.00

Pay Range Maximum:

$96,000.00

Base pay is determined by a variety of factors including a candidate’s qualifications, experience, and expected contributions, as well as internal peer equity, market, and business considerations.  The displayed salary range does not reflect any geographic differential Highmark may apply for certain locations based upon comparative markets.
