Join us in improving health care outcomes for all!  We promise to do what’s right, always.

Position Summary:

The Client Insights Analyst will be a critical member of the Client Management team, responsible for producing clear, accurate, and timely reporting that supports both external client deliverables and internal performance tracking. This role will partner closely with the Data & Analytics team to transform raw data into actionable insights, tailoring outputs for strategic client discussions while also monitoring key internal metrics such as performance guarantees and service-level KPIs. The Client Insights Analyst ensures that reporting is not only accurate but also tells the story behind the numbers in a way that drives client trust and internal accountability.

What you will do:

Benefit Design Documentation and Set-up:

  • Assist with creating a streamlined benefit design documentation approach that aligns with dataflows and reporting needs
  • Review client benefit design documentation to ensure proper intent is captured
  • Collaborate with the claims adjudication platform partner regarding proper system set-up, test case scenarios and proper data output prior to plan designs going live

 Client-Facing Reporting and Insights:

  • Develop and deliver standard and ad hoc client reports (e.g., utilization summaries, rebate tracking, trend analysis)
  • Consolidate outputs across multiple data sources (claims, clinical, financial) into cohesive, client-ready packages
  • Provide narrative insights alongside data, enabling clients to understand drivers of cost, utilization, and savings

Internal Performance Tracking:

  • Track and report on AffirmedRx’s contractual performance guarantees, ensuring accurate measurement and timely reporting to clients
  • Monitor internal KPIs (e.g., service levels, turnaround times, call handling metrics) to ensure operational excellence
  • Partner with leadership to identify areas of risk or opportunity based on KPI performance

Collaboration and Data Management:

  • Serve as a bridge between Client Management and Data & Analytics to validate data, define requirements, and troubleshoot issues
  • Maintain a reporting library, standard templates, and documentation to ensure consistency and repeatability
  • Develop tools or processes to streamline reporting production and minimize manual effort

What you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 7-10 years in reporting, analytics, or business intelligence, ideally within healthcare, PBM, or managed care
  • Prior experience with client-facing deliverables strongly preferred
  • Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, formulas, macros); Power BI, Tableau, or other visualization tools preferred
  • Basic SQL experience strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to tailor insights for both internal and external audiences
  • Comfort managing multiple deadlines and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Client-focused with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Ability to “connect the dots” between data, client outcomes, and business performance
  • Highly collaborative across technical and non-technical teams
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven

What you get:

  • To impact industry change in the pharmacy benefits management space, while delivering the highest quality patient outcomes.
  • To work in a culture where people thrive because when OUR team thrives, OUR business thrives.
  • Competitive compensation, including health, dental, vision and other benefits.

Note:

AffirmedRx is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment. Remote employees are expected to maintain a professional work environment free of distractions to ensure optimal performance and collaboration.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
