* Mid-Level Systems Engineer
* with federal government experience to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of mission-critical systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering principles, federal IT compliance, and lifecycle management. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure systems meet performance, security, and operational requirements.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Support the design, integration, and deployment of IT systems in accordance with federal standards and agency requirements.
* Develop and maintain system architecture documentation, interface control documents, and technical specifications.
* Perform system analysis, requirements gathering, and validation activities.
* Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure systems comply with
* NIST RMF
* FISMA
* , and agency-specific security controls.
* Conduct performance tuning, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for system issues.
* Participate in configuration management and change control processes.
* Assist in the development of test plans, procedures, and validation reports.
* Provide technical support during system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
* Interface with vendors, contractors, and government stakeholders to ensure project alignment and compliance.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
* 3- 5 years of experience in systems engineering, preferably supporting federal government programs.
* Familiarity with federal IT standards and frameworks (e.g.,
* NIST SP 800-53
* FedRAMP
* DoD STIGs
* ).
* Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and enterprise systems.
* Strong understanding of system lifecycle processes, including requirements, design, implementation, and sustainment.
* Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
* Preferred Certifications:
* Security+
* CISSP
* AWS Certified Solutions Architect
* Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect

* ITIL Foundation
* Experience with tools such as
