The Information System Security Officer (ISSO) will support the security posture of federal information systems by ensuring compliance with applicable cybersecurity policies, procedures, and regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of the Risk Management Framework (RMF), federal security standards, and continuous monitoring practices. The ISSO will work closely with system owners, administrators, and other stakeholders to maintain system authorization and mitigate risks.

* Implement and maintain security controls in accordance with

* Develop and maintain
* System Security Plans (SSPs)
* Risk Assessments
* POA&Ms
* , and other required documentation.
* Support the
* Assessment and Authorization (A&A)
* process, including coordination with the Authorizing Official (AO) and Security Control Assessor (SCA).
* Conduct
* continuous monitoring
* activities and ensure timely remediation of vulnerabilities.
* Perform
* security impact analyses
* for system changes and updates.
* Respond to
* security incidents
* and support investigations and reporting.
* Ensure compliance with
* agency cybersecurity policies
* , directives, and procedures.
* Participate in
* security audits
* , inspections, and reviews.
* Provide
* security awareness training
* and guidance to system users and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
* Minimum of
* 5 years of experience
* in information security, with at least 2 years in a federal ISSO role.
* Strong working knowledge of
* NIST RMF
* FISMA
* FedRAMP
* , and
* OMB
* guidance.
* Experience with
* eMASS
* Xacta
* , or similar compliance tools.
* Familiarity with
* STIGs
* SCAP
* , and vulnerability management tools (e.g., Nessus, ACAS).
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
* Certifications (Preferred or Required):
* Security+
* CISSP
* CAP

* Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
* or equivalent (optional)
* ITIL Foundation

* Additional Requirements:
