Who we are

At Picnic, we’re reinventing the way employees experience lunch at work. By partnering with top local restaurants and batching hundreds of orders, we make it easy for companies to offer high-quality, individually packed meals, without fees or tips. Our mission is to create a seamless, affordable, and joyful lunch experience that benefits both employees and employers.

What you’ll do

  • Drive New Business: Take warm leads from pitch to signature, mapping out and closing the highest-density office buildings in your city.
  • Expand Existing Accounts: Visit current clients to increase employee participation, add new dining slots, and unlock more office locations.
  • Act as Field Intelligence: Provide HQ with "street-level" insights on building logistics, local cuisine preferences, and competitor moves.
  • Execute Local Marketing: Run grassroots activations like pop-ups, office samplings, and community events to build brand awareness.
  • Own the Outcome: Be responsible for your city's GMV, active eater count, and overall market penetration.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven Closers: 2+ years in growth, sales, or BD with experience owning a deal from first meeting to close.
  • Hyper-Local Experts: A deep love for your city and an understanding of its commercial real estate and food scenes.
  • Social Chameleons: Naturally outgoing individuals comfortable pitching to everyone from CEOs and building managers to office admins.
  • Analytical Self-Starters: High-energy pros who can navigate data (Google Sheets/CRMs) and work independently without a script.
  • Startup Mindset: Flexibility to wear many hats and the "hustle" required to thrive in a fast-paced, early-stage environment.

Why join us

  • Drive real impact: Be part of building the operational engine behind a fast-growing startup that’s redefining how work gets done.
  • Own your city: Take full ownership of your city’s performance and see the direct results of your ideas and execution every single day.
  • Work with purpose: Join a mission-driven team focused on making the workplace experience better for thousands of people.
  • Grow with us: At Picnic, there’s room to grow—personally and professionally—as we scale and take on new challenges together.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
