Are you passionate about building relationships and driven to make a difference? We are seeking a Church Partnerships Manager to join Compassion’s Church Team in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. This role focuses primarily on cultivating deep, purposeful partnerships with senior leadership of churches averaging 700+ in attendance to drive child sponsorship and revenue, aligning local churches with Compassion’s mission to release children from poverty in Jesus’ name. The ideal candidate is resilient, experienced in outside sales or business/non-profit development, and has a strong understanding of church culture with a proven ability to manage long sales cycles and meet aggressive growth goals.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a remote, US-based position. Preference will be given to qualified applicants living in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
What will you do?
Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus, consistently upholding a courteous, Christ-like attitude, and faithfully supporting Compassion’s ministry through prayer.
Act as an advocate for children, prioritizing their protection in all decisions and adhering to Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Report any concerns of abuse, neglect, or exploitation through Compassion’s internal reporting process.
Uphold Compassion’s core Cultural Behaviors.
Establish and develop partnerships with senior leadership of large churches to generate sponsorship and revenue, meeting and exceeding quarterly and annual goals.
Manage the full sales cycle, including lead generation, prospecting, and closing partnerships with church leadership.
Generate leads through cold calling, referrals, and research, and set up in-person meetings with senior church leaders to explore engagement opportunities.
Interact in person with pastors and key decision-makers to foster relationships and increase giving potential.
Organize and lead vision and/or short-term trips to cultivate church relationships.
Provide stewardship reports to donor churches, maintaining strong communication through project follow-ups and personalized affirmation for prior gifts.
Maintain accurate records of leads, accounts, and activities in CRM, preparing weekly and monthly reports.
Operate within the approved budget, documenting activities and opportunities while adhering to established processes.
Represent Compassion at regional and national meetings and speak at events to communicate Compassion’s mission.
What do you bring?
Bachelor’s Degree.
Seven years of experience in outside sales, business/donor development, or related fields, with a specialization in cold calling and procuring new relationships.
Deep understanding of church culture and/or experience in pastoral leadership or relations.
Proven success in achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual quotas in a remote environment.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and overcome obstacles.
Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, preferably Salesforce.
Ability to travel up to 35% of the time, including international travel (following vaccination requirements of destination countries, which may require uploading health records for entry).
