About the Role

CoderPad is looking for a highly motivated, analytical, and proactive individual to serve as Chief of Staff to our VP of Marketing. This is a high-impact, high-visibility opportunity ideal for someone with ~2 years of experience in management consulting or strategic operations who is eager to learn the inner workings of a fast-paced, high-performing startup marketing organization. As Chief of Staff, you’ll be a force multiplier for our VP of Marketing—helping set strategy, drive execution, and accelerate key cross-functional initiatives across our go-to-market team. You’ll gain a front-row seat to what it takes to build and scale a modern SaaS marketing engine and will help shape projects that impact brand, pipeline, and revenue growth.

What You’ll Do

Act as a trusted partner and right hand to the VP of Marketing—facilitating strategic planning, prioritization, and execution

Lead or support special projects across brand, product marketing, demand generation, content, customer and partner marketing

Serve as a liaison between Marketing and other teams (Sales, Product, Exec team) to align on priorities and drive accountability

Identify and surface opportunities to improve how the marketing team works, communicates, and measures success

Your First Mission

Your first major initiative will be to help architect and accelerate CoderPad’s net new growth motion—a critical, cross-functional effort to drive business expansion. You'll partner closely with Marketing, Sales, RevOps, and Product to develop a repeatable, scalable growth playbook that aligns marketing investment with revenue impact.

Who You Are

2–3 years of experience in consulting, business operations, strategy, or a similarly analytical and cross-functional role

A strong communicator who can synthesize complex ideas and present them clearly to different audiences

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple initiatives at once

Eager to learn the full breadth of B2B SaaS marketing and thrive in a fast-moving environment

Excited by startup culture, comfortable with ambiguity, and ready to roll up your sleeves

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
