Primary Purpose : The Chief of Staff to the CEO will advance Tapestry's purpose, vision and strategy by being a strategic, operationally skilled partner to the CEO and their executive team, driving a culture of prioritization, growth, focus and discipline in line with Tapestry's values.
The successful individual will leverage their experience and capabilities to:
- Maximize the CEO's effectiveness in driving Tapestry's growth agenda by:
- Being her trusted thought partner on any and all topics
- Extending, role modeling and driving her vision, strategy and values across the enterprise
- Proactively identifying issues and areas of concern and recommending mitigation strategies
- Managing Tapestry operating rhythms to ensure her strategic intent is woven through her touch base meetings, advisory cabinet and Executive Committee meetings, Brand Reviews, Board meetings, Leadership meetings, and other employee meetings and engagements
- Representing CEO from time to time at events and in meetings.
- Building a forward 12-18 month plan for travel and external events
- Ensuring her time is appropriately balanced across her priorities, as well as internal and external stakeholders
- Ensuring she is well prepared for all engagements and meetings
- Traveling with CEO from time to time on key trips to support trip objectives
- Optimizing Tapestry's benefits from external relationships such as the Business Roundtable, Partnership for New York City, the Fashion Pact, General Motors Board, etc.
- Optimize Tapestry Executive Committee and other executive groups' effectiveness at driving Tapestry's growth agenda by:
- Ensuring all meetings achieve the relevant groups' expressed goals and purpose - topics are well-sponsored and prepared, pre-reads are succinct and delivered timely, decisions and follow ups happen
- Onboarding and supporting new ExCom members in joining Tapestry and/or the ExCom
- Partnering with Chief Growth Officer and Chief People Officer to design and run executive team development programs
- Ensuring strong connectivity with Leadership and other employee meeting content
- Strengthen the impact of key CEO priorities by:
- Partnering with Growth Officer, Comms team and HR to evangelize next vision and Growth Mindset across the enterprise
- Ensuring CEO has sufficient exposure to and connection time with various employee groups to effectively communicate the vision
- Maintaining appropriate focus within CEO's agenda on key business enablers of sustainability, inclusion & belonging
- Support CEO and General Counsel's team in driving the strategic agenda with the Board by:
- Preparing topics for CEO's quarterly meetings with directors
- Partnering on agendas, content development and logistics for all meetings
- Lead the CEO's office (CEO's Sr. Executive Assistant and Executive Assistant) by:
- Managing the CEO's Sr. Executive Assistant
- Overseeing the CEO's and Board's expense cost centers
- Ensuring the CEO's office runs smoothly, and all activities reflect her vision
- Providing top quality Board meeting and executive team offsite logistical support
- Conduct, manage and work on projects on behalf of the CEO in liaison with relevant ExCom members, as requested

- 8-15 years as an experienced and successful leader, preferably working in a global multi-brand business
- Proven expertise in strategic thinking, complex problem-solving and decision-making
