Citizenship: US Citizen (MUST)

Security Clearance: Must be eligible to possess MBI (IRS Background Investigation) clearance. Active IRS MBI clearance is preferred.


Role Overview:

The Chief Cloud and Data Platform Architect provides technical leadership for the design, implementation, modernization, and optimization of the Enterprise Data Platform. The Architect is responsible for developing secure, scalable, and resilient AWS cloud architectures supporting Databricks E2, enterprise data lakehouse capabilities, AI and machine learning workloads, analytics platforms, and platform shared services.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the target state architecture for EDP 2.0.
  • Design AWS Landing Zones, multi-account architectures, networking, and shared services.
  • Architect enterprise deployments of EKS, S3, Redshift, RDS, Databricks E2, and API services.
  • Design scalable data lakehouse architectures utilizing Databricks Unity Catalog and enterprise governance capabilities.
  • Establish platform standards, reusable services, APIs, automation frameworks, and engineering patterns.
  • Lead tenant onboarding and platform integration efforts.
  • Architect high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
  • Support AI, machine learning, advanced analytics, and automation capabilities within the EDP ecosystem.
  • Conduct architecture reviews and technology roadmap planning.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of cloud architecture experience.
  • Minimum 5 years designing enterprise AWS cloud environments.
  • Minimum 3 years supporting Databricks or lakehouse architectures.
  • Experience implementing cloud native security, Zero Trust, and enterprise data governance frameworks.

 

Preferred Certifications:

  • AWS Solutions Architect Professional
  • AWS Advanced Networking Specialty
  • Databricks Certified Solutions Architect Professional
