Who We Are

CEO Life is a private executive leadership community uniting established CEOs, founders, and senior executives across cities and regions, and increasingly around the world. Members are accomplished leaders who value discretion, depth, and stewardship, and our chapters give them a place to gather, grow, and give by building real relationships instead of simply collecting contacts.

About the Role

CEO Life is looking for a Chapter President to build and lead our Los Angeles, CA community. This is a highly visible leadership role for someone who thrives on bringing successful people together, building meaningful relationships, creating memorable experiences, and growing a business community.

As Chapter President, you'll become the primary relationship between CEO Life and its Los Angeles members while taking ownership of the chapter's growth, engagement, events, and local presence. You'll recruit and lead a team of Chapter Directors, personally develop new member relationships, and create a community where CEOs, founders, and senior executives genuinely want to participate and connect.

For the right person, this is an opportunity to become one of the most connected business leaders in Los Angeles while building one of CEO Life's most visible local communities.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the growth and member experience of CEO Life's Los Angeles chapter, creating a highly engaged community of CEOs, founders, business owners, and senior executives.
  • Recruit, train, and lead a team of Chapter Directors responsible for developing relationships and bringing qualified new members into the community.
  • Personally develop new member relationships, with a goal of bringing in at least two new members per month through your network, referrals, events, and local business relationships.
  • Lead the team toward a combined goal of 4 new members per month while establishing clear expectations, coaching, and accountability.
  • Serve as the primary relationship for chapter members by welcoming new members, understanding their businesses and interests, making valuable introductions, and keeping the community connected and engaged.
  • Plan and execute CEO Life's monthly Los Angeles events in partnership with the corporate team, creating experiences that deliver value to existing members while introducing prospective members to the community.
  • Build relationships throughout the Los Angeles business community and represent CEO Life at events, through local partnerships, and in the market.
  • Collaborate with Chapter Presidents across the country to create introductions, opportunities, and connections that extend beyond the Los Angeles market.
  • Serve as a visible local representative of CEO Life, including occasional participation in social media, member spotlights, interviews, and other chapter content.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in a relationship-driven role involving some combination of business development, sales, events, hospitality, community building, entrepreneurship, or executive leadership.
  • Must currently live in the Los Angeles, CA area.
  • A strong existing network within the Los Angeles business community is valuable, but equally important is your ability to quickly build authentic relationships with successful business leaders.
  • A natural ability to connect people and recognize opportunities where an introduction or relationship can create value.
  • Strong relationship-based sales skills and the confidence to ask for the business without making the interaction feel transactional.
  • Experience recruiting, leading, and motivating people, with the ability to set expectations and hold a team accountable.
  • A warm, engaging presence and the ability to make people feel welcome, known, and connected.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance member relationships, business development, team leadership, and events.
  • Comfort representing an organization publicly, including speaking in front of groups and appearing occasionally on camera or social media.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and genuine interest in building something within your local business community.

What Success Looks Like

Within your first several months, you'll have established yourself as the leader of CEO Life's Los Angeles community, built strong relationships with existing members, recruited and activated four Chapter Directors, developed a consistent membership pipeline, and established a successful rhythm for monthly events.

Longer term, success means building a chapter that consistently adds 4+ new members per month while creating the kind of member experience that drives engagement, introductions, referrals, retention, and long-term growth.

Benefits
  • Base salary plus uncapped monthly commission tied to new member production
  • The opportunity to build and lead one of CEO Life's most visible local communities
  • The opportunity to join CEO Life at an important stage of growth, with a vision to reach 50,000 leaders across 150+ U.S. and global chapters by 2030
  • A chance to establish yourself as a key business leader in your market while building a community and network that grows alongside CEO Life

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
