The Position

The Channel Account Manager (CAM) builds and maintains close relations with authorized resellers and distributors, and works closely with Getac field-based sales teams, inside sales, and internal departments. A CAM’s primary responsibility is to insure Getac partners are knowledgeable, driven and successful at delivering our solutions to their customers and prospects. The CAM is a ‘direct-touch’ liaison between Getac internal resources and key channel/distribution partners. The CAM balances sales support, partner administration & management, and pre- and post-sales activities with the focus of increasing Getac revenue year over year.

Essential Job Duties

  • Develop channel strategy and execute plan across assigned territory. Strategy should include identification and recruitment of channel partners by vertical and geographic location.
  • Create targeted approach to increase Getac’s visibility and revenue within focus list of accounts through product trainings, channel marketing activities, and account mapping sessions with Getac sales and their channel partner counterparts.
  • Interact regularly with channel partners to ensure partners are knowledgeable about Getac products, policies, rules of engagement, and operating procedures.
  • Facilitate onboarding for new channel partners and their sales representatives. This may include formal Getac launch within larger reseller partners with strategic planning and execution.
  • Provide accurate forecasting of business opportunities, monitor sales activities and provide weekly/monthly reports on channel business activities.
  • Work closely with Getac Regional Sales Managers and Inside Sales Managers to ensure goals and strategies for territory growth are aligned.

Other Duties

  • Communicate to customers at different levels including senior management, procurement, operations, IT administrators and engineering.
  • Increase Getac’s presence in social media by posting and sharing Getac product information, success stories, marketing activities and other notable events.
  • Participate in regional tradeshows as needed.
  • Manage market development funds and facilitate MDF requests, approvals and payments to channel partners through partner portal.
  • Facilitate Demo Loan Agreements with channel partners for tradeshows.
  • Review and analyze monthly point of sale reports to track quarter over quarter and year over year growth for each channel partner.

Experience & Education

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Channel Sales Management/Partner Development.
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities and drive channel revenue daily.
  • Proven experience with the ability to size-up customer accounts, provide customer solutions and be cognizant of competitive market technology offerings is required.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills collaborating with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Self-driven and well-organized; able to work independently with minimal supervision. Brings value add to the company by working in a team environment, has a high degree of personal accountability, creative, relationship builder and solutions provider.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.

Computer & Software Skills

  • Microsoft Office (Including Outlook, Word,  PowerPoint and Excel)

Travel

  • 50% of Travel
  • Must have a valid California Driver’s License, proof of current vehicle insurance and a driving record that meets the companies insurer’s criteria; must be able to use own vehicle in the course of work.
