About the Role
The role will be responsible for overseeing MoneyLion’s new financial planning offering, forecasting, and analysis to support strategic business initiatives. This role will work cross-functionally with leadership, product teams, and key stakeholders to provide financial insights that drive business expansion and innovation. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in financial modeling, strategic planning, and fintech industry trends.
Role will be asked to be in NYC office at least 4 days per week
Key Responsibilities:- Developing MoneyLion’s Financial Planning proposition, including the ownership of our planning methodology, philosophy and advice delivery framework.
- Actively shape our product experience and customer support strategy / approach.
- Key contributor in designing our approach to specialized Financial Planning, with our MoneyLion members - which will be characterized as (i) digital first, with certain live / in-person elements, (ii) and scalable.
- Act as an expert on our in house tools to assist with the product roadmap.
- Responsible for plan development and plan review with members.
- Manage all client inquiries, escalations and onboarding support.
- Support the product development and marketing efforts to ensure messaging alignment.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CFA preferred).
- CFP designation
- A minimum of 3+ years of member facing planning experience
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in financial planning, corporate finance, or strategic finance, preferably in the fintech or technology sector.
- Proven track record of leading financial planning functions, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Strong financial modeling skills with expertise in Excel and financial planning tools (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Anaplan).
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a strong ability to adapt to change.
- Excellent written and communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience mentoring and developing finance professionals.
- Knowledge of fintech industry trends, regulatory considerations, and competitive landscape.
- Fully embrace technology and are keen to embrace Artificial Intelligence, and find ways to leverage this emerging technology.

The annual base salary for the Certified Financial Planner is expected to be between $180,000 to $195,000. Base salary is one component of MoneyLion's total compensation package, which includes 401(k) match, multiple health insurance options, disability coverage, life insurance, and unlimited paid time off for salaried positions. Actual salaries will vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and competencies related to the role.
