Job Description

As the Global Category Manager for the MTB category, it will be your responsibility to lead the most important segment of our business. You will be given the unique opportunity to build our leadership position in the MTB marketplace. We are looking for great people with passion, humility, determination and most importantly who questions the status quo. 

This is a global product creation role with responsibilities for all MTB apparel, hardgoods and accessories. You will focus not only on developing long lifecycle iconic and seasonal styles, but also higher level concept across all product categories. This role reports to the Category Director and will have two direct reports. The role also requires very close collaboration with design, development, planning and demand creation teams as well as all regional brand managers. 

This position reports to the Director of Merchandising and allows you the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule from your home and Irvine office.   

As the Global Category Manager for MTB, you will have an opportunity to:

  • Lead the MTB Category with a bold GLOBAL product vision, which blends Fox Racing’s DNA/Heritage & regional needs with the objective to shape the future of MTB on our terms.  
  • Intimate understanding of the Fox Racing Brand and our core consumer. 
  • Articulate a clear category positioning, product segmentation, and strategic financial objectives to all global and regional teams 
  • Ability to create a line architecture with a high degree of sensitivity for balancing brand needs with specific regional & distribution needs.  
  • Expert knowledge of innovative product creation to drive highly competitive perceived value through, function, fabrications, trims and silhouettes, while achieving go-in-margin targets set by the executive team. 
  • Firmly connected to the competitive landscape to be able to benchmark our perceived value and create our competitive advantage  
  • Responsible to work with the demand creation team on the strategy and execution of all global sell-in & sell-out tools for your category. 
  • Strong leadership skills to be able to motivate, guide and coach your team, as well as cross-functional and regional partners 

You Have:

  • 5 + years of experience in product creation/merchandizing. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, merchandising, marketing or related field.  An additional 3-5 years experience may be considered in lieu of degree. 
  • Strong decision maker with ability to deal with ambiguity and conflict resolution 
  • Effective communicator and presenter with strong leadership skills  
  • Well versed in fashion, color and trend analysis 
  • Strong business orientation, analytical aptitude and computing skills  
  • Ability to effectively create and manage processes

Pay Range:

Annual Salary: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00

The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
